Love's Wishes

The next morning I woke up angrily and Maria was cuddled up on me.
I was relieved that I didn't have work on Thursday's but that I meant I had to deal with what happened yesterday and I honestly don't feel like it.
I went to go get washed and then laid on the couch.
Maria came out the bedroom with one of my button up shirts and yawned.
"Goodmorning.." She smiled at me.
"Hey, babe." I smiled back.
"You want me to make breakfast?" She walked over to me and massaged my shoulders.
"We could go to my favorite restaurant." I say.
"Daniel, you know I hate that place."
"Why do you hate it so much?" I asked.
"It looks cheap.." She laughed.
"Because their prices are low you think it's a cheap place?" I narrowed my eyes.
"Well..Yeah. The place you were gonna take us last night was nice and fancy, right?"
"I guess so. And if it wasn't? Then what?"
"I would just go with it I guess.." She says.

"Well, today, I'm gonna go see Eve to check up on her." I told her.
"Is Rapunzel gonna be there too?" Maria growled.
"Why are you acting like that?" I hissed.
"So that's the girl you been seeing lately?"
"Ugh. I can't deal with this." I got up and went to the bedroom as Maria followed me with her pointless opinions.
I ignored her and got dressed into sweatpants and a t-shirt, put on some sneakers, grabbed my keys and left.
I walked to Alonni's apartment because I knew Eve was there. As I came in, Alonni was sitting on the couch.
"Hey." I smiled.
"Where's your Maria?" Alonni sighed.
"She's at home probably talking to herself." I laughed.
"She doesn't like me, does she?" Lonni says.
"Look, that's her problem if she doesn't. I don't care. Where's Eve?"
"She's laying in my bed." Alonni pointed.

I checked up on her and she was doing fine. I was relieved.
I sat next to Alonni and she laid on my chest.
"Wanna watch a movie, Danny?" She asked.
"Sure. You find a job yet?" I asked her as moved to the other side of the room and looked for movies.
"Yeah."
"Well? Where is it?" I laughed.
"I will surprise you." She giggled.
"It better not be at that restaurant we were at the other day." I laughed some more.
She turned around and looked at me, "Really, Dan?"
"Anything can happen.. Just saying."
She finally picked out a movie and then put it on.
Lonni already had popcorn prepared and wouldn't share with me.

My phone rang and it was Matt:

"Hey, what's up?"
"Nothing, you home?"
"Nah, I'm with my sister and a friend, why?"
"You have your hands full. I'll catch you some other time, man."
"Alright, sorry Matt."
"It's chill. Have a great day."
"You too. See ya."
He hung up and I dug my hand in the bowl of popcorn.
"No, Danny!" Alonni tugged it away from me which made her spill the whole thing.
"Look what you did.." I laughed.
Lonni's face grew angry, "That was the only popcorn I had!" She tried to fight me with her little self.
It was cute.
"Come on, let's go get some popcorn then.." I grabbed her hand and we went out the apartment,
As we went to the store, Alonni grabbed the popcorn packs while I looked around.
At the register, I saw a woman with dark brown hair, looking like Maria.
"Yeah, can I get the Magnum's please.."
I walked up to her.
"Maria?" I called out.
She turned around and it was her.
"Here ya go." The man behind the counter gave her the condoms.
Alonni came up behind me, "Danny! I have the pop..corn.."
"Why are you buying condoms?"
"Ya know.. When you got back.." She said.
"Maria, we don't use condoms.." I growled.
She gulped.
"How about we go, Danny?" Alonni tugged at my arm.
