Love's Wishes

Alonni went to go pay for the popcorn.
"I'll catch up with you later, Lonni. I have to deal with this. Tell Eve I'll be home." I said while looking at Maria.

When we got home, I noticed the door was open.
"Why the hell didn't you close the door?" I almost yelled.
"I forgot..."
"You were in such a hurry to get those condoms, huh?" I growled. "Now, why are you buying condoms?"
"So we can be safer!" She says.
"What? Are you pregnant?" I raised my eyebrow.
"No, Daniel. I just want to be more careful. You know I don't want kids." She growled.
"And what's wrong with having them?"
"Nothing, kids aren't for me." She looked away.
"Right. Well since you want to be SAFER I guess we'll do that then. I'm gonna go chill with Matt because he called me earlier."
"Oh, Okay. See you later then.." She sat on the couch.
I gave her a small kiss on the forehead and called Matt back.

I finally got to the sports bar with Matt and we started talking.
"She bought what?" Matt started laughing.
"That's what I'm saying! We don't even use them. It's been almost 2 years since we haven't and now she wants them?"
"Yeah, Mary is crazy sometimes.." he chuckled.
"Mary?" I questioned.
"Who?"
"You said Mary.." I looked at him.
"Oh..Well..You know what I meant! Maria!" He laughed as he drank his beer.
"Mhm, so what's with you and Mary?" I then asked.
"We're good. We hung out earlier today."
"Earlier today you asked me to hang with you.." I wasn't able to drink anything now.
"I..meant like after I asked to hang with you."
"Oh okay. So how'd it go with her?"
"It went well actually.." He smiled.
"I know that smile.. You hit, didn't you?" I laughed.
"Damn, you know me too well." Matt laughed.
"Well, good for you, man." I drank my soda because I don't drink beer.

When I got home, I got a call from Eve:

"Hey, you okay?"
"Yeah. Alonni's sleep and I'm about to leave. I don't want her to be upset."
"She'll be fine. We have to stop treating her like a baby ya know."
"I understand. But just give her a call, okay?"
"Yeah. I will."
"Okay, thanks."
"Love you Eve."
She hung up, as usual and I went to go get in bed with Maria.

"So how was things with Matty?" she asked.
"Heh, you gave him a nickname and you don't even know him?" I laughed.
She laughed lightly.
"Funny because he called you Mary." I laughed some more.
She laughed lightly again.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Never better.." she sipped her wine.

Later that night, Alonni calls me. I had forgotten to call her.
"Hey."
"Danny!"
"Heh, hey Alonni."
"Is everything okay with you and your Maria?"
"Yeah. She said she wanted to be more safe."
"Oh..you sure it isn't anything else?"
"I asked if she was pregnant.."
Alonni started laughing.
"I don't think she's the type to want kids anyway.."
"You're right, she doesn't."
I heard her yelp and almost scream.
"What are you doing?"
"Trying to make breakfast for tomorrow."
"You need help?"
"Yes!"
"I'll be over."
I hung up and in no time I was over there.

"I just wanna make some waffles.."
"Some?"
"A little bit more than some..and some eggs and bacon." She smiled.
"You never got taught?" I asked as I got the eggs and bacon strips out the fridge.
"No.. I was too scared to learn on my own." She sighed.
"Well, I'll teach you." I came behind her, showed her how to make waffle batter from scratch and then make the waffles.

"It's this easy, Danny?" She asked.
"Yepp. You know how to make eggs and the bacon right?"
She nodded and smiled at me. She didn't she had waffle batter on her beautiful face either.
I licked my thumb and placed it on her face to rub it off.
"I could've did that.." She turned a little red.
I smiled, "I know."
We put everything away when she got done making the eggs and bacon and then sat on the couch.
"You owe me a movie.." She whispered as she fell asleep.
"I'll take you to the movies then. Saturday." I played her long hair.
"Really, Dan..?" She snuggled more onto me.
"Yeah. Of course, Lonni." I kissed her forehead.
She then was sleep and I carried her to her bed and tucked her in like dad would his little girl.
"Goodnight, Alonni." I smiled.
