Thirty Five
Emma’s POV- January 2015
I walked into the apartment and let out a sigh. I rubbed my neck slightly pushing on my jaw as I felt some tension release. Danni looked up from her phone and gave me a smile.
“Filip’s here”
I nodded and smiled.
“Thanks for letting him in” I told her.
“No problem, he’s probably asleep”
I nodded and set my bag on the couch. I sat next to her and she smiled.
“So, do you want me to chop your hair?”
I looked at my ends and hummed lightly. Hanna had allowed Danni to cut her hair last week and it looked so good. I really wanted to cut my hair, so I was thinking about letting her.
“I’m thinking about it, it’s cold at the moment though” I said.
She smiled and nodded.
“How short do you want it?”
My hair was almost to my waist at the moment, but it was starting to give me a headache.
“Like to my shoulders” I told her.
She nodded and smiled.
“How about I just trim it? Like 2 inches”
I nodded and she smiled.
“I can do it tonight”
“Yes please” I told her.
She nodded and grabbed her bag.
“Go check on your boyfriend”
I laughed and nodded as she left. I made my way to the hallway and opened my bedroom door. Filip was in fact asleep on my bed, his phone on the desk. I made my way over to him and slipped off my shoes. I got on the bed and his eyes snapped open when I stradled him.
“This is a nice way to wake up”
I laughed and peppered his face with kisses. I gave him a kiss on his lips making him smile against my lips.
“You looked cute sleeping. I couldn’t resist, you woke up before I could attack though” I said making him chuckle.
I sat up and looked down at him.
“Your hair looks lighter”
I nodded and looked at the hair tips as I sat on him.
“I’m going to trim it tonight, Danni said she would do it” I said.
“Did Danni cut Hanna’s hair?”
I nodded and he hummed.
“She did a pretty good job, Hanna is pretty brave”
I laughed.
“Yea, she cried while they cut it” I said.
He nodded slowly and looked at my hair.
“I’m just thinking about cutting like 2 inches now, and by next month up to my shoulder” I said.
He gave me a smile.
“You look beautiful either way. I bet you’d look great bald”
I laughed and slapped his arm lightly.
“I’m also going to dye it” I said.
He nodded and smiled.
“I was drunk, but I remember you telling Olivia”
I smiled and nodded. This was after the New Years Party.
“You had one to many glasses of wine” I said patting his sides.
He grinned up at me and nodded.
“I don’t regret it one bit. That wine was great, why doesn’t Angie have it at her restaurant?”
I laughed, of course he would ask that.
“She’s going to start getting it delivered” I said.
“I’m going to buy all of them”
Filip liked wine, that what I learned about him while we stayed in LA. That and he could sleep through almost anything. A light touch though would wake him up.
“You know, you and your dad have the same eye color”
I nodded at him and he smiled.
“You kinda look like your mom. Your brothers are like exact replicas of your dad”
I laughed and nodded.
“Yea” I said.
“Your sisters look like porcelain dolls”
I nodded agreeing with him and he smiled.
“You’re the prettier one”
I laughed as he pulled me down on him.
“The tallest one”
“My mom used to joke around saying I was adopted. I’m obviously her daughter but Liv and Lia are tiny” I said.
“You’re pretty tiny”
I smiled as he kissed my cheek. He flipped us around, almost dropping us from the bed.
“The bed isn’t that big for that” I told him.
I heard Max groan from outside and Filip laughed.
“Guys! Not while I’m here!”
“We did nothing, you can come in” I told him as Filip got off of me.
Max opened the door and Filip looked at him.
“Why are you staring at me?”
I laughed as Filip opened his eyes more.
“Cause you look like your mom”
Max laughed and nodded.
“Your mom looks like Natalie Portman”
Max shook his head slightly as smile appeared on his face.
“Please don’t say you found our moms attractive”
Filip opened his mouth and closed it.
“Oh god you do!”
Filip laughed.
“You both have very attractive parents. I can tell your dads apart now”
My uncle and my dad were twins, and they looked exactly alike. Their voices were the same as well, but Filip found a way to identify them. My dad always kept a clean haircut where as my Uncle Manuel didn’t. My dad was taller as well, and his eye color was greener than my uncles.
“Yea, Uncle Isaac is taller”
Filip nodded and Max smiled.
“There’s also a finger”
I laughed; you see my dad hurt his pointer finger a few years ago. It had scarred so you could feel the roughness on it.
“The roughness”
Filip nodded and Max smiled.
“You don’t think our dads have tried to trick us? We tell them apart through smell and their eye colors. If they’re standing next to each other you can use the height or the tattoos. Uncle Isaac has one on his ribcage where as my dad has a starwars tattoo on his leg”
Filip blinked slowly and Max smiled.
“He cried of joy when Angie was born on May 4th”
Filip laughed and Max nodded.
“Yup, little quirks here and there. Our dads are incredibly close”
That made Filip nod and he smiled.
“Yea, it’s nice to see that though”
Max nodded and smiled.
“So did you feel comfortable?”
Filip nodded.
“Yea, you guys made me feel right at home. I mean it took a while for Andrew to warm up to me but he did eventually”
I smiled and nodded. What got Andy to like Filip? Winnie did because Winnie loved Filip. Winnie hates every guy that gets near me, so the fact that my dog accepted Filip made Andy trust him.
“Gotta thank Winnie for that”
Filip nodded agreeing and he smiled.
“I miss that little dog, I’m thinking about getting one”
Max nodded and looked at both of us.
“I heard you two finally said the big 3”
Filip laughed.
“Yea, on New Years”
Max snorted a bit.
“Romantic”
I hit Max with a pillow and he grabbed it. He tossed it on the bed and looked at Filip.
“Dude, were you asleep?”
Filip laughed and nodded as he fixed his bed hair.
“Yea, I confused the time. Emma said her class started at 9 and I read she was done at 9”
Max laughed at him and I sat up next to Filip.
“So after Danni let me in, I came in here to sleep”
Filip looked at me.
“Let’s go eat?”
I nodded and rubbed his back as I stood up.
“Want to come Max?”
He looked at his watch and shook his head.
“Thanks for the offer, but I have class in like…started 5 minutes ago”
“Why are you here? Go away now” I said.
“I had to get a textbook”
He looked at us.
“Bye losers”
He left and I looked at Filip who gave me a smile.
“Invite Danni”
The door slammed and I looked at Filip.
“I think she just left” I said.
“What about Haley?”
“She has class right now” I said.
He hummed and frowned.
“To think I was trying to bond with your housemates”
I pecked his lips and he smiled as I pulled away.
“We can go bug Roman and Angie” I said.
He nodded.
“Let’s do that”
He stood up and followed me out.
“Bring me food!”
Filip nodded and we watched as Max jogged across the campus to his class. I turned to look at Filip when he grabbed my hand. I squeezed his hand and laughed as he pulled me closer to him.
“When can I hear you sing?”
“You missed your chance” I told him earning a laugh from him.
I followed him to his car and he let out a yawn.
“I’ll hear you sing eventually”
I laughed and he began driving.
“I forgot to tell you something”
I hummed and looked at him. He looked at me and smiled.
“You look beautiful”
