Love Bug

Emma’s POV- March 2015
I frowned a bit as I watched Filip pack up his suitcase.

“It sucks that you can’t come”

I nodded and he looked at me. I needed to study because during the time he would be gone I had midterms for 3 of my 4 classes. Where was he going? The California roadtrip, which meant he was going to see my family during this roadtrip. One was a paper I needed to write, but I had no motivation to do it.

“I know” I said pouting slightly.

He let out a small chuckle and pecked my lips.

“Don’t worry, I’ll give Winnie a big hug for you”

He pulled me into a hug and I hugged him back.

“You’re going to make me cry” I told him.

He let out a chuckle.

“I don’t want that, you’ll see them for Spring Break though”

I shook my head.

“No, there won’t be anyone home for Easter. The boys have a competition, so they’re heading out of the country. My passport won’t get here in time, so I’m stuck here” I told him.

He nodded and rubbed my sides.

“My parents should be here by then, we could do something”

I nodded and he kissed my forehead.

“You’re distracting me” I told him.

“I am not, you don’t have homework”

“I’m trying to learn Swedish” I argued.

He laughed and pulled me into a kiss.

“I know! I love you for it!”

He kissed my cheeks and let go of me. He stood up and went back to packing.

“Where are you dogs going to stay while your parents are away?”

I looked at him.

“Mason said he’d keep an eye on him. Winnie tolerates Mason, so he would stay with him along with the cats” I said.

He chuckled and nodded.

“When are your midterms again?”

“Paper is due Thursday, Friday and Monday are my actual exams” I said frowning at him.

He nodded and let out a sigh.

“Yea, you can’t escape that. I’ll be back on Monday though so I could take you out to dinner”

I made a face and he laughed.

“I’ll be dead, but I can cook us up something” I said.

He nodded.

“If you insist”

I smiled and he zipped up his suitcase.

“When is your family flying in?” I asked.

He glanced up at me as he put the suitcase on the floor.

“By the end of March for sure”

I nodded and smiled.

“If I’m on a road trip would you mind picking them up?”

I shook my head.

“I don’t mind one bit. Just give me the heads up” I told him making him nod as he looked down at his phone.

“Ok, your sister just texted me saying she has room in her car for three other people”

He glanced up at me.

“She wants to meet Roman” I said.

He laughed.

“Yea, knowing him he’s going to hide”

I nodded agreeing.

“What a weenie” I said making him chuckle.

“I’ll tell the guys if they want to come”

I nodded and he put his phone away.

“Alright, I’m done. Come here”

I laughed and shook my head. He got on the bed and tugged my arm.

“No, I’m supposed to be reading this” I told Filip.

“I can teach you Swedish not some book”

He mumbled it into my ear as he pulled me closer to him. I laughed when he tossed the book on the floor.

“No because you’re a distraction” I told him earning a laugh from him.

“You teach me Spanish and I’ll teach you Swedish”

“There will only be a lot of kissing if that happens” I said.

He kissed my cheek and hummed.

“What’s so bad about that?”

I laughed and turned on my side.

“Not much, but I really do want to learn Swedish” I told him fixing his hair a bit.

I pecked his nose and lips making him smile.

“What are you doing this summer?”

“Well Liv and Angie might make the World Cup team, so I’ll be in Canada doing that” I said.

He nodded.

“What about after?”

I shrugged.

“I don’t know” I said.

“Come to Sweden?”

I looked at him and he smiled.

“I want to show you around”

I smiled and nodded.

“Ok” I said.

He grinned and pulled me into a kiss.

“When I’m done with whatever I need to do, but I do need to be back in August. I start school” I told him.

He nodded and kissed my cheeks.

“I’ll probably go crazy if I don’t have you near me in the summer. How’d we do last summer?”

I laughed and looked up at him.

“I don’t know” I admitted.

He smiled and nodded.

“Let’s nap”

I laughed as he cuddled up to me and let out a deep breath.

“Why are you so warm?” I complained.

He let out a laugh as he shrugged.

“You’ll live”

He closed his eyes and I shifted a bit as my phone began vibrating. He reached for it in my pocket and I looked at my phone screen. It was Amelia.

“Hello” I said in a low voice.

Amelia let out a small giggle.

“Are you with Filip?”

“Yes” I said.

“Is he allergic to anything? Food wise”

Filip shook his head against my shoulder.

“No” I said.

“What about the other Swedes and the cute Swiss?”

“He doesn’t know” I responded when Filip lightly shrugged.

“Is he trying to nap?”

Filip nodded and I laughed.

“Yes he is” I said.

“Alright, I’ll call him tomorrow morning then”

Filip hummed and I rubbed his back lightly as I agreed with Amelia.

“It sucks you can’t come, but I’ll make sure your Filip has fun”

I nodded and hummed.

“Ok, I’ll text you” I told her.

“Got it, bye”

I hung up and listened to Filip’s light breathing. He groaned when I tried to get out of his grip.

“You’re hurting my hip so move on your back” I quietly told him.

He moved and let out a deep breath. I smiled when he tried to grab my hand, but I didn’t let him. Instead I gently pushed his hair back. I loved playing with his hair because it was slightly longer and I gave his scalp massages from time to time. I laughed a bit when I noticed the grip he had on my wrist was beginning to get lose. I moved my arm and grabbed his hand. He hummed a bit when I began massaging his hand. Filip was incredibly stressed because the team was on a losing streak. It sucked because Filip really did take losses to heart. I looked at the time and sat up. I reached for my book and hummed lightly as I began mouthing some of the words in Swedish. The alarms rang making Filip let out a deep breath as he turned on his side. He laughed a bit when he noticed I was still next to him, but I was not paying attention to him.

“No”

I laughed and moved as he tried to push the book away.

“Go shower” I told him.

He laughed.

“Or change, while I make something for you” I said closing the book and getting out of the bed.

I walked to the living room and gave Calle a smile.

“I brought the salad things you asked for”

“Thank you” I said opening the fridge.

I grilled some chicken and cut it up. I made Calle toss the salad as I cut up the avocado.

“There” I said.

Filip kissed my cheek as I handed him his plate.

“This looks great”

I nodded and made my way to the dining table.

“What were you two up to?”

Filip handed me a fork and turned to Calle.

“Emma’s learning Swedish”

Calle nodded and looked at me.

“We all know that. She carries her little book everywhere, and well how’s that going Emma?”

I frowned and they laughed.

“It’s hard, you see French and Spanish somewhat resemble one another. Swedish does not so I don’t have like phrases or words that I can relate to. I’m learning the common things, and I can say things. Filip is just being mean because I pay more attention to the book than him” I said.

Calle nodded and looked at Filip.

“You’re so needy”

Filip laughed and did not deny it. I reached for a corn chip and ate some of my food. Calle told Filip something in Swedish and Filip shook his head frowning at him.

“So Emma, have you two had sex?”

I ignored him and Filip scolded him. It was kind of disrespectful of him, but once we were done and Filip went to get his jacket Calle apologized by pulling me into a hug.

“I’m sorry”

I laughed and nodded.

“I know you are” I said.

He nodded and rubbed my back.

“You’re good for him Ems, don’t let anyone tell you that you are not”

Filip made his way over and I smiled.

“It sucks you can’t come to the game”

I nodded and Filip gave me a tight hug.

“I’m on duty, it’s your fault because I got Valentines Day off” I told him making him laugh.

“I know, but we had a good day”

I nodded and he pecked my lips.

“I’ll see you tomorrow right?”

I nodded and smiled.

“I’ll be over in the moring” I said.

“Breakfast?”

I nodded and Calle smiled.

“You can come to eat, but you can’t complain”

Calle nodded and Filip pecked my lips.

“Come on, let’s head out”

I nodded and I grabbed my purse.

“Let’s go” I said.

I followed them out and Filip tucked me next to him. Once we were down, Calle made his way over to Filip’s car and got in. Filip walked me to my car and gave me a smile.

“What time are you done?”

“1am” I said.

He frowned and I nodded.

“I know” I said.

He pecked my lips and I grabbed his face as I deepend the kiss. A honk made us pull away and I smiled at Mattias who got out with a girl.

“You two are leaving already?”

Filip nodded.

“Yea, we have a meeting”

Mattias nodded and he walked in with the girl.

“He’s just sleeping with her”

I nodded.

“She doesn’t seem nice” I said.

He shook his head.

“She isn’t. She doesn’t really acknowledge us, and she thought my name was Flip”

I laughed and he smiled.

“Flip Forsberg, I mean your first name is Carl so I understand why she called you Flip” I said.

He laughed and kissed me.

“I don’t like that you have no middle name”

I winked at him.

“Or maybe I do” I said.

He looked at me and I laughed.

“I don’t my parents said there was no use for them” I said.

Filip nodded slightly agreeing and gave me a light peck as he squeezed me.

“Text me when you get to campus?”

I nodded at him and I got into my car. I squeezed his hand before he closed the door for me.

“I’ll see you tomorrow”

I nodded and turned on the car. He stepped back as I put the car in reverse.

“Bye, good luck” I said.

He nodded and I pulle dout of the parking spot. I put on my seatbelt and waved at him and Calle as I let go of the brake and began driving to campus.
