Emma’s POV- March 2016
I cheered when Filip scored against the Kings and clapped.
“If Andy saw us” I said making Angie laugh.
“I know! So have you heard back from schools?”
I looked at Angie and nodded.
“I’m just waiting on Stanford, I did early admission for all and I’ve heard back already from all of them” I said.
She grinned.
“Did you get into the other schools?”
“Out of the 9 I applied I got into 7. I didn’t get into 1 and I’m waiting on Stanford” I said.
She nodded.
“I’m so proud of you!”
She hugged me and told me she was going to get us some beer. She got up and left to do that. I felt someone staring at me so I glanced up. Three girls wearing Forsberg jerseys glared at me. I hummed and looked down at the ice to see my boyfriend skating to the penalty box. Why? Goalie interference.
“What’d I miss?”
“3 girls glaring and a powerplay for LA” I said.
She made a face and handed me my cup of beer.
“Did I tell you Roman and I are going on a date tonight”
I hummed and reached for my beer.
“You didn’t, what’s the ocassion?” I asked.
She shrugged and smiled.
“He says he just wants to take me out”
I smiled.
“That’s cute of him” I said.
She hummed and took a sip of her beer.
“He’s been really off lately”
Of course he has, he’s going to ask you to marry him.
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“I don’t know how to explain it, he’s just off”
I nodded at her and she let out a deep breath.
“Maybe I’m just being paranoid”
I nodded and smiled.
“You might just be” I said earning a huff from her.
“Do you want a little munchkin of your own?”
I looked at her and saw she was looking at Carrie Underwood and her baby boy.
“I mean, I’m still young. In the future I want children” I said taking a sip of my beer.
She nodded and smiled.
“How cute are your babies going to look?”
I laughed and we cheered when the Predators killed the Power Play. The game ended with the Predators winning.
“Have you applied for graduation?”
I looked at Angie nodded.
“Yes, it’s set. I’m graduating in May” I said making her squeal a bit.
She took a gulp of her beer and grinned.
“I’m so happy and proud of you. You’re halfway there baby”
I nodded and followed her to the hallway.
Filip was coming out of the lockerroom. He put his hand on my shoulder and turned to Angie.
“Roman is doing interviews”
Angie nodded and Filip squeezed my shoulders making me look up at him.
“Your brothers texted me saying it was ok that I scored against their team”
I laughed and he hugged me.
“What time do you have class tomorrow?”
“9:30, but that’s just to drop off my hard copies. I finished and corrected my thesis’ early” I said making him smile.
“I get a copy right?”
I nodded.
“Yes, you may finally read them” I said making him grin.
“Good, when do you hear back from Stanford again?”
“Soon, they said they will send me an email and something in the mail soon” I said making him nod.
“I’ll keep an eye on that then”
I nodded and smiled.
“I applied for Graduation today” I said making him smile.
“If you didn’t have class tomorrow I would say let’s go out and celebrate”
I laughed and he pecked my lips.
“Thanks for coming to the game though”
I nodded and hugged him tight.
“This weekend though, I’m all yours” I said making him smile.
“Alright, good. If we win 4 more were in the Playoffs”
I smiled and nodded.
“I’ll try to be here for the games, I can’t guarantee it. I will be watching it though” I said making him smile.
“Ok, well did you drive here?”
I shook my head.
“Angie brought me” I said.
He nodded.
“I’ll drop you off, Roman is probably going with her since he came with me”
I nodded and he smiled.
“Come on beautiful”
I followed him out and he even signed some autographs for some fans on our way out.
“I don’t like it when girls glare at you”
“You’re a handsome guy Fil” I said.
He looked at me.
“I love you and only you, they have no chance”
I smiled and he squeezed my hand.
“I love you”
I nodded and squeezed his hand back.
“I love you too” I told him making him nod.
He turned on his car and turned to me.
“So is he proposing to Angie tonight?”
I nodded and he smiled.
“She’s good to him, that’s nice”
I agreed with him and I got a phonecall 5 hours later from Angie telling me she was engaged. She was crying and I could barely understand what she was saying. I told her I was happy for her, and I looked at her instagram. There was a picture of her and Roman hugging and it said “Here’s to a life time together” followed by a ring emoji.

There are 3 chapters left until i end this story. An epilogue will follow even though i wanted to do a sequel. I decided not to, and i'm currently writing a Roman Josi story as well as a Martin Jones one. They link with each other so it may be a while before i even post it or if i do.
