Graduation
Ken pulls up to Mike's school.
"So what is going on?" Ken asks.
"We are singing and they are giving us things then we sing another son and then we leave," Mike said.
Ken looks at me.
"Pretty much yeah. There could be speech's too," I said.
"Got it," Ken said.
We go out and I take Mike to his class room. I go to the cubie and grab the robe and hand it to him. He throws it on and I bend down and put his hat on.
"Does it look good?" Mike asks.
"Yeah it looks good," I said smiling at him.
He smiles at me and nod his head.
"Daddy doesn't want to be here," He said.
"To him he doesn't get the big deal because to him this isn't an accomplishment."
"everyone else seems to make a big deal out of it."
"I explain more after ok?"
"Ok."
I kiss his nose and he goes to his teacher. I go out and see Ken is sitting on the bench texting. I go over and look at him.
"Lindsay and Ryan are coming," He said.
"I know this isn't a huge accomplishment for Mike," I said.
"You mean that before he started school he knew everything that they thought him?"
"Just can you act a little more that this important for him?"
Ken looks at me.
"He ask me why you don't want to be here. He doesn't like doing things on stages. He understands that it's for us more than really him because he doesn't get that is why we put him in school and I didn't just homeschool him like he wanted to be done the first month," I said.
Ken sighs and get up.
"You know any kid should be able to graduate from this right?" He asks.
"Yeah I know. I also know that Mike didn't learn much of anything academic this year," I said.
"That needs to be fix."
"I will find a way to fix it."
He nods his head and kiss my head.
"I go tell him that I'm excited to see him perform because I am. I didn’t know that it was going to be part of it," Ken said.
"Good," He said.
He goes inside the class room and I sit down. Rachel came over with her husband.
"Hey," She said.
"Hey. How you doing?" I asks.
"Good. This is Richard my husband and Ava's father. Richard this is Jezebel, she's Mike's mother."
"Nice to meet you," Richard said.
"You too."
"How was Mike in his cap because Ava was to knock it off of her head. I still don't know how to get it to stick."
"Bobby pins," I said.
"Of course I did that for my high school graduation. I will go put them in right now."
She walks away and Richard looks at me.
"Single parent?" He asks.
"No. My fiancée is talking to Mike right now," I said.
He nods his head. Ken came and looks at him.
"This is Ava's Dad Richard. Richard this is My fiancée Ken," I said.
They shake hands.
"It's nice to meet you," Richard said.
"Nice to meet you too," Ken said.
Richard looks at him a little.
"I feel like I should know you," Richard said.
Ken looks at me and then look at him. Rachel came and pat Richard's arm.
"Your parents just pull up. See you later Jezebel," She said.
"Later," I said.
She smiles and leaves with Richard.
"You think he can come with me while I train and things?" He asks.
"All the time?" I asks.
"I figure he still goes to Chad on Tuesday's."
"I normally stay there."
"He can go to the Ranch."
"Maybe I should talk to my boss about taking some more days off."
"You got to come to Spring Creek."
"They are planning a bridal party aren't they?"
"Yeah. But it's because they love you."
"You were told to get me to agree to this."
"Yeah. Ryan told me that your mom seems in to it."
"And my brothers can't disappoint my mother."
"Yeah."
"I know what I want on my other foot."
"Really?"

"Want me to set it up with the same guy?"
"Yes please."
"Ok. My dad can watch mike.'
"Do it on Wednesday and I can give him to Ryan."
"Good idea and here they are."
We go over where Ryan and Lindsay are. I hug them.
"Thanks for coming," I said.
"This is important," Lindsay said.
I nod my head and Ryan looks at me.
"Don't know how many of these he will have," Ryan said.
"Mike will graduate high school," Lindsay said.
I look at her then at Ryan and see he is a little lost so I look at Ken who looks lost too.
"That's not what he meant," I said.
"What did you mean?" Lindsay asks.
"You don't have a this when your home school," Ryan said.
"Kids are not always home school now."
"Who actual did all their years without homeschooling?" I asks.
"Is there a big deal about Copper Web or Justin Bogle they went to school."
"Till they were like 16," Ken said.
"You guys win," Lindsay said.
"Pro ages have raised," Ryan said.
"One year mostly but that's not all. I mean Adam was 16 still. Mike can be 15 given his birthday is during the outdoors," Ken said.
"Shut up. Shut up," I said not wanting to think about that.
Ken warp his arm around me and kiss the top of my head.
"That's if he is going to become a racer. It's not set in stone," Ken said looking at me.
"Dame right. He can do whatever the hell he wants," I said.
Lindsay laughs a little. The doors open. We go inside and sit down. I war my arms around Ken and he kiss the top of my head.
"It's going to be good," He said.
"Yeah sure it is."

"So I was thinking of having a get together with a few of the other girlfriends. You want to come?" She asks.
"What will we be doing?" I asks.
"I don't know."
"It's not that game night you have in California is it?"

"If I like what's going on I come."
"Great. It will be at the house most likely."
"I'm more likely to come."
She nods her head and smile. We talk a little about what's going on with her work till music starts. The kids came out and get on the steps. They did a few songs then the teacher talks before handing out diploma to the kids and naming each of them by name. They did another song before the kids walk out.
"Cute," Ryan said.
"Yeah," Ken said.
"Where are we going now?" Ryan asks.
"I got to talk him out of saying Disneyworld," I said.
Ryan laughs. I get up and Ryan looks at me.
"I'm going to go get Mike," I said.
"I want a picture of him in his gown," Ryan said.
"You going to do this to rub it in Blake's and Jade's face aren't you?"
"Yeah."
I laugh while Lindsay rolled her eyes.
"Come on," I said.
I lead Ryan to the class room. I go over where Mike is sitting down at the coloring station.
"What are you waiting for?" I asks.
"For a bible. They are doing it by last names," Mike said.
"I want a picture with the hat and gown," Ryan said.
Mike gets up. I grab Ryan's phone and take a picture of them. I hand it to Ryan. I get the hat off and fix his hair then help get the gown off.
"What you want to do now?" I asks.
"Can we go home eat cookies and a movie?" He asks.
"That sounds good," Ryan said.
"I want that."
I nod my head. I take the gown and hat to the people then stay by the teacher till they call Mike's name and grab the bible then walk out of the room seeing Ryan and him are gone. I go outside flipping through the bible. I go to the car and see Ken and Mike in there talking.
"We know what Movie we are watching," Ken said.
"What movie is it?" I asks.
"Moto 5," Mike said.
"Sounds good."
Ken drives to the house. I go over to cookies I made and set them out. Lindsay and Ryan came in. Lindsay looks at the cookies.
"Where did you get these?" Lindsay asks.
"Blake got me the cookie cutter when I was pregnant," I said.
"You made these cookies?"
"Yeah."
"You can own a bakery."
I smile at her and she goes in the living room. Ken grabs a cookie then go to the living room.
"Why couldn't you sleep?" Ryan asks.
"Cramps."
Ryan looks at me. I smile at him.
"Coffee?" I asks.
"Yeah.
I make everyone's coffee then grab a plate of cookies. I grab try and put the coffee on it. Ryan grabs it so I grab the cookies and go to the living room.
"We are watching Nitro Circus," Lindsay said.
"Which one?" I asks putting the cups down.
"The first season of the show," Mike said.
"That sounds good."
I pass the cups out. I grab a pillow and hand it to Ken. He nods his head and put it down and Mike gets his bikes out.
"Hey if we are watching Nitro Circus why don't you play with your ramps and freestyle people," I said.
"Where is it?" Mike asks.
"Play room."
I walk to the playroom and grab the box of the FMX toys. Mike grabs it from me then go and sit down. I grab a cookie and Ken looks at me making me smile at him. I grab my phone and take a picture where the cookies, TV, and toys are in the shoot then post it on Instgram with a picture of Mike in his gown. I put it on the table and watch the show.
