Bulletproof

Baby

Waking up then looking over seeing Derek smiling at me.

“Hey baby girl.” He told me.

“Hey handsome.” I said smiling.

“How are you feeling?” He asked.

“Like shit.” I replied.

He laughed then I put my hand on my stomach.

“How far a long?” He asked.

“Doctor told me I was two months.” I said smiling.

“I can’t believe I’m going to be a dad.” He replied.

“Now, your momma can stop jumping on you for grandbabies.” I laughed.

Spencer and Hotch put our beds together which was helping the currant space apart. He wrapped an arm around me and I put my hand on his chest. I fell asleep.

Three days later Derek was released and he still stayed at the hospital. He promised me we would move into another house because of what happened in the other one.

I was getting released tomorrow probably if I was still the same. I was having nightmares of Jacob. I was going to talk to my therapist about it when I see her.

I couldn’t wait to be a mother and hopefully it’s a boy. Well, I don’t if Derek would want a boy or a girl.

“Congrats!” Garcia came running in yelling.

“Thanks Penelope.” Derek told her.

“Thank you girl.” I said then lightly hugging her.

“You guys are going to have a cute baby!” She squealed.

“We will.” Derek laughed.

Everyone left us and it was just us in the room.

“Let’s go on vacation.” He said.

“To where?” I asked.

“Anywhere you want to go.” He told me.

“Hawaii.” I said grinning.

I fell asleep.

“Vanessa, you need to push now.” The doctor told me.

I screamed as I pushed, I grabbed and held onto Derek’s hand for dear life.

After a few more pushes a baby’s cry could be heard. I collapsed back onto the bed breathing heavily as the Nurses cleaned up our child.

“You did it doll.” Derek said smiling as he kissed my forehead.

I smiled up at him.

“This kid better be worth it.”

“Of course they will. They are our child, aren’t they?”

I laughed.

“It’s a very healthy boy ma'am.” The doctor said smiling as she handed the baby to Derek.

“he’s beautiful.” I said staring down at our child.

I woke up smiling then I saw Derek asleep in the chair beside of my bed. He was lightly snoring. I smiled at him and could imagine our future together.
