Take Me to Church

Chapter Fifteen

I woke up the next morning to the sun shining through the window, down onto my face. Chibs still had his arms wrapped tightly around me, and his face was hidden in my hair. My guess was it was keeping the sun out of his face, otherwise he'd be awake by now.

Even still, it took absolutely everything I had in me not to give in and just stay in bed with him all day.

Slowly, I rolled over in his arms, causing him to groan loudly. "Babe. Come on, we have to get up. Wake up, Filip." I spoke, giving his shoulder a small shove. "Don't want to." He whined out.

"Come on, we have to. There's a lot to do today." I reminded him, pulling myself out of his grip. Sighing, I pushed my tangled locks back out of my face. My movements must have woke him up, because after a few moments, he sat up as well. He leaned over and kissed my shoulder before climbing out of the bed completely. I took a deep breath before doing the same.

I dressed myself in ripped blue jeans, a red tank top, a plaid over shirt, and a pair of black boots. A plain outfit for the day. Since there was so much going on I wasn't too worried about my clothes.

I was in the process of putting my gun in a holster underneath my shirt, tucked into the hem of my jeans, when Chibs stepped over to me with my cut in his hands. "Don't forget this, love." He spoke softly as he handed the leather over to me. "Thanks. I guess I'm still getting used to having to wear it every day." I smiled, feeling his lips press against the side of my head.

I pulled my cut over my shoulders at the same time he did before we both stopped to look at one another. "Come on, love. We should go find the boys." He spoke, offering his hand out to me.

I gladly took his hand, and we walked out of our apartment together. I had been thinking that everyone would be gathering in the chapel, but I was wrong. We found them all standing outside together, standing around the picnic tables.

"I talked to Serg's tracker, and the ten grand is gone. Apparently, mercenaries aren't big on refunds." Bobby sighed, shoving his phone down into his pants pocket. "And the funds we got from the roids were in the bag that the Mexicans stole from idiot." Chibs spoke, pointing over his shoulder to Juice.

Without speaking. Opie stood up, took a few steps, and threw his cup of coffee across the lot. Jax moved to take his seat.

"Yeah, we're tapped out, and we have a very expensive excursion in front of us." Bobby spoke again, turning his back to the rest of us. "What about the rest of the meds?" Jax questioned, looking to Juicie for an answer. "No street value. Black market scripts- we'd need a way into the clinics." Juice explained simply. "We blow off this bail hearing this afternoon, we're underground. That will be a little hard to earn." Clay pointed out rather calmly.

Looking around the group, I saw Tig take a sip of whatever it was he was drinking. Everyone else was simply standing around, looking disappointed with the situation at hand.

"You think Tara can help move those scripts?" Clay asked, his eyes on the cigar he was currently smoking. "That's not going to happen." Jax was quick to reject the old man's idea. "I don't see any other way." Tig said, of course he was going to side with Clay on things. "I said no." Jax snapped.

"Why not, she's your old lady." Clay pointed out the obvious. "I don't care!" Jax was now yelling as he looked at Clay.

Feeling awkward and not wanting things to get anymore tense than they already were, I stepped forward. "I can fund it." I spoke, my voice breaking the awkward silence amongst us. "What?" Clay was shocked by my words. "No, Kaela, we'll find another way, really. Keep your money." Jax tried waving me off.

"No, really. It's not a problem. When my mom died, I got everything.. Plus on top of that, my dad sends me money at least twice a mont. I want to get Abel back as much as the rest of you do. Please let me do this." I explained to the group of men standing around me.

Everyone was silent, thinking over my offer. I could have sworn I saw Clay nod his head; but no one gave me an answer.

"Where are we with the Mayans?" Opie was the one to start talking and change the subject. So, is that a yes? "Based on that delivery schedule, that dope shipment's set to leave for Stockton today at one." Tig responded, looking at the reactions of everyone around us.

"The route there is all main roads- no quiet place to take them down." Piney informed us. "Well let's get creative. They're trying to stay under the radar, right? So there won't be too many bodies." Jax suggested. "What time is the meet with Alverez?" Clay asked, looking over towards Tig. "Three. It's his warehouse, so hopefully he'll show." Tig answered quickly.

"We snatch his heroine, and he'll show. We have a vote to get out." Clay stood from his seat at the same time as a familiar blonde man came walking over to us- Kozik.

He greeted Chibs and I with smiled before we all walked into the club. Lacing our fingers together, Chibs and I walked into the chapel and sat down together.

It was time for us to gain some new prospects, and vote on two brothers transferring into the charter.

We voted the prospects in first, just in order to get it out of the way. "Well, boys the easy part is over." Chibs spoke in a firm voice, handing each other the men a prospect's cut. "I get it man." The one on the end smiled. he was short, lanky, and awkward looking. He didn't look like he belonged here at all.

"Shut up! You don't say anything unless a member tells you to!" Jax shouted, causing all three of the men to jump. "Prospect period ends, minimum one year from today." Tig informed. I shifted so that Chibs and I both sat comfortably in the chair together. "Dues are seventy-five bucks a month, due on the first." Bobby mumbled, not really too enthusiastic.

"Welcome, don't get killed." Clay encouraged, releasing a large puff of smoke from his cigar. "Now get the hell out." Bobby snapped, not seeming too friendly. Though, that was probably the point. Then again, maybe he saw what I saw- that they didn't belong.

They were quick to do as they were told, and after being yelled at once more to shut the door behind themselves- we got back down to business at hand.

"I've got two transfer requests. One from Tacoma, one from Nomads. Both Kozik and Happy want to be a part of Samcro. I want to say, just for me, both of these guys will make a welcome additions. And to be honest, we need you. So welcome." Clay spoke.

We voted Happy first, and everyone was quick to vote him into our ranks. It was a no brainer. We all adored Happy, why would we ever vote him down? He's loyal- a soldier for this club. Kozik, however, was different. Everyone seemed to love the idea of having him in Charming. Everyone except for Tig. If not for him, then Kozik would be a welcomed member of Samcro.

"I don't trust him." Was Tig's reason for voting Kozik down.

That's all it took for Clay to bring down the gavel. Clay was saying a few comforting things to Kozik, while the rest of us congratulated Happy on his transfer to Charming.

Out in the bar, the Prospects stood around awkwardly, not knowing what they should be doing. Bobby and Chibs were the two to give Happy his new patches, while I took notice of a very angry looking Kozik walking towards Tig. Kozik pushed the unsuspecting man down into the floor. Everyone watched in silence as Piney helped pull Tig up to his feet. "You son of a bitch." Tig muttered, turning to look at the man who had pushed him.

"It's no fun getting sucker punched, is it?" Kozik smirked, taunting the man. "No, it isn't." Was all Tig said before lunging for the blonde. Putting his arm around my waist, Chibs pulled me back away from the fight. No one dared moved to stop them, no we all just stood around watching. This needed to happen.

"Shouldn't we do something." One of the prospects asked. Jax turned to look at him with a large smirk on his face. "Yeah. Get some brooms. You're going to have a lot to clean up." He laughed at he man.

As the fight continued, everyone began to cheer Tig on. Clay, however, left in the middle of the fight- only stopping to tell Jax where he was going.

Everyone dispersed as the fight came to an end. Jax left to see Gemma. When I saw the Prospects mumbling about what to do next, I couldn't help but laugh at them. So fucking pitiful. That was also the moment that my husband got a seemingly wonderful idea. "Boys, why don't we let the prospects have their first run in with Kaela?" He laughed loudly.

"What do you mean their first run in with me? What the hell is that supposed to me?" I scoffed, looking over my shoulder at my husband. "Just be a bitch, you're good at that." Ope said, causing everyone who heard him to laugh as well.

"You're all assholes." I growled out, only causing them to laugh some more. I continued to glare at them all while I tried thinking of something to do.

Pulling my cut off of my shoulders, I tossed it to my husband. "Bring this to me in just a minute." I ordered, before walking over to the bar. In the chapel, Chibs had been standing in front of me so none of the prospects had even seen me. And they were too distracted by the fight to see that I had been wearing a cut.

Pulling my tank top down just a bit to expose my chest a bit more, I moved to stand behind the bar so that the Prospects could see me. "You three need to get started cleaning this mess up." I ordered loud enough for the three of them to hear me. My words definitely caught their attention, and the one who had spoken up earlier in the chapel was first to step forward.

"Why are you telling us what to do? You're what, like, the clubs personal sweet butt? Why don't you clean it." The man chuckled, stepping up to the other side of the bar. "Why, do you want to spend some time with me?" I giggled with a wink, leaning further on the bar- pushing my breasts out even more.

"Hell yeah, but maybe you should clean this place up some first." He suggested lightly. From over the man's shoulder, I could my husband standing with a look of rage in his eyes. I couldn't help but let my smile grow.

"So, you like my tattoos?" I asked him, running my hand across my chest where my crow was located just above my boobs. The prospects eyes shot down to look at my chest- and it was then that Chibs came storming behind the bar to stand next to me with his cut in my hand.

"Yeah, what is that actually?" The prospect asked, not bothering to look away from my chest. He didn't even notice Chibs standing there. Taking the cut from Chibs, I moved to put it back on. "It's a crow. And see that design in it's talons? It's a celtic knot, the same one that Chibs has tattooed on his chest." I explained, pulling my hair out from under my cut.

"Oh." The prospect's eyes finally shot up, and saw Chibs standing behind me before going wide. "It means that I am actually his, and he is mine. And this ring on my finger, means that we're married. Not only that, but this cut and these patches mean that I am a member of this club. So why don't you quit standing around and get the fuck to work cleaning up this fucking mess!" My voice rose as I spoke until I was yelling.

I felt Chibs arm wrapped around me, before I felt his fingers dancing across the bare skin of my chest where my crow was located. Then he once more pulled me back against his chest.

"Move your asses!" I shouted once more. Causing all three of the new prospects to jump and start moving. I couldn't help but laugh at them all. "That's my girl." Chibs laughed along with me. I continued to smile to myself as Tig came walking over to us. "Party time's over, we've got some drugs to catch." He informed us.

Chibs and I walked together, along with the rest of the boys, and made our way outside. Even Kozik was coming with us even though he didn't get voted into the charter.

Piney and Kozik were riding in the truck, while the rest of us would be riding in the van.

We were in search for a specific van that contained specific drugs. It was at a red light when we found them. Though we wouldn't be doing anything here. Chibs slightly cracked open the door, and shot out the tire on the van before they pulled away. That's what Kozik and Piney were for.

We were headed in the opposite direction as them for a while; but we would be seeing them again fairly soon.

So, going to the designated meet area, we ended up on some deserted high way. We got there about ten minutes before Piney and Kozik arrived with the other van in tow.

Everyone crowded around while Opie and Bobby began the search. They opened one of the many barrels and started sifting through them. The small of cleaning supplies was strong and made it slightly difficult to breathe, so I made a point to stand back out of the way. "I think I found a prize." Opie laughed, pulling a black trash bag out of the white powder.

Inside the trash bag, was twenty to thirty drug-filled balloons. Pulling a knife out, Chibs scooped a bit of the drugs up on the tip of the blade- allowing Bobby to stick his finger into the powder before swiping his finger against his tongue.

"Yeah, that will clean some stains. Good job boys." Bobby coughed, before turning and heading back over to the van. Slowly, but surely, we all got back into the van with him and made our way to the meet destination where Clay and Alverez were waiting for us.

I didn't really trust any of the other men that surrounded us, so I stayed as close to Chibs as possible. I couldn't bring myself to actually pay attention to what Clay and Alverez were talking about. My mind was all over the place today.

The club presidents only stopped talking when Chibs stepped forward and threw the black duffle bag down at Alverez's feet. I was pulled away from my thoughts when Chibs stepped away from me.

"I think you lost something." My husband had a smirk on his face. Upon seeing what was in the duffle bag, Alverez was immediately very pissed.

"I mean things often get lost during shipping. However, if it crosses our boarders again, we can insure safe passage back to Stockton." Clay smiled, looking at the man though his sunglasses. "That's why you're patching over these idiots, right? So shit like this doesn't happen? Well we've got a better idea. Our brothers in Lodi are more capable, and with our support anyone's prices are protected." Jax explained.

"Trying to make peace here." Clay pointed out as well. "And just how much is peace going to cost, Clay?" Alverez didn't sound all that interested in what Clay was offering.

"I'll le the bastards negotiate their own fees. As for us, just a toll- point five k a run." Clay shrugged his shoulders. "We consider this the first run." Jax chimed in, sounding rather cocky. "The last time we made a deal, I lost my son." Alverez pointed out, before turning around to talk to one of his men.

Upon turning around again, he agreed to the deal that Clay had offered. "That means no Mayan charter in Lodi." Jax clarified. "Shit, none of those bastards would've made the cut anyway." Alverez laughed loudly. This made Salazar step up, definitely not happy about the situation.

I had to stop myself from laughing as a fight broke out between the two men- this resulted in Salazar getting punched in the face.

It was then that Alvarez turned to face Juice. "How could you let those bitches take your cut, ese? You're an embarassment to club members everywhere." He scoffed, handing the cut over to Juice. I decided to take this as my leave, and made my way back up the hilll where the van was waiting.

Only I wasn't alone. Both Clay and Chibs followed me up the hill to the van. We had to wait for everyone else before we could leave though. Especially since Tig had the keys....

While we were waiting, Jax came walking up the hill and left so that we could go meet up with Tarar. Once everyone was at the van, we all loaded up and made our way back to the club.A few of the boys had other things to do upon arrive to the club, so they quickly left- while the rest of us just went inside.

While we were waiting for something to happen, I made Chibs and I something to eat. Then, once everyone was back, we gathered at the table.

"Brains before bullets asshole! You slammed the side of his head. Wham! If they see that, it's going to point to homocide!" Tig was screaming at Kozik. Ah, good. Another fight. "And cyanide won't?" Kozik scoffed, rolling his eyes. "His heart stopped! It could have been for a hundered reasons! Even if they do an autopsy, then it could take days. We'll be long gone!" Tig was still yelling at the blonde.

"Maybe if you didn't let the little bitch clock you, this would've never happened!" Kozik scoffed, rolling his eyes.

I watched as Tig moving towards Kozik, and knowing his intentions, I jumped up from Chibs' lap and stopped him from going after the blonde male.

"Enough! You blocked the only camera. There's not any witnesses or prints. We're good!" Clay shouted, putting a stop to the other two men fighting. Hearing unfamiliar voices coming from outside the chapel doors, we all quickly jumped up and walked our of the chapel to see what was going on.

I stepped out of the room behind Opie, just to have a gun pointed in my face. My hands shot up just before I was shoved down onto the ground. My body landed with a thud, and my head smacked the ground harshly.

I could have sworn that I saw birds as the police began tearing the club apart in anyway they could. They were looking for anything illegal they could pin on us most likely. Though, they couldn't just burst in here to search- they would have to have a warrant. Which means someone gave them something questionable about us in order for a judge to actually give them a warrant.

But it wasn't surprising to me when they came up with nothing. They even went the extra mile patting everyone down extensively and then searching out in the garage. Which also came up clean.

Climbing to his feet, Chibs was quick to come over to me and pull me to my feet. He looked me over with worried eyes- he must have seen my head hit the floor. "You alright, love?" He asked, pushing my hair out of my eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit dizzy- no worries." I flashed him a quick smile.

Instead of staying out in the bar with everyone after that, I got myself a snack from the kitchen before going down the hallway and into the apartment- which had been trashed. I set my food down on the dresser before moving to clean things up. I was too tired to clean up everything, so instead I just put the blankets back on the bed. Then, forgetting about my food altogther, I crawled under the blankets on the bed.

That's how Chibs found me when he came walking into the room. He didn''t say anything, and instead kicked off his shoes before crawling into the bed with me.
