The Moment I Knew

Alesha stared down at her phone, Cristiano was calling her again for what was the fourth time that day, she sighed and pressed decline and put her phone back in her bag. It was stupid avoiding him after she had spent the night with him, but she was panicking a little. Things were now going to change, they couldn't take back what they did and while she didn't regret spending the night with him, she was a little scared of what happened next. Cristiano had a past and she couldn't change that, she was just doubtful that he could commit to a relationship, he said himself he didn't do relationships.

Images of her night with Cristiano flashed in her head, she smiled a little knowing she was going have to talk to him, she shouldn't have sneaked away to London without talking to him, this was going backfire on her but she was sure she would be able to fix it when she got back to Madrid at the weekend.

" You seem a little distracted Alesha" Robert, her father said, as he offered Alesha her cup of tea.

Alesha smiled at her father " I am fine really, you don't have to worry about me" she replied, taking her cup of tea. Since she had arrived in London a day ago her parents had did nothing but fuss over her.

" That footballer is treating you okay?" Robert asked, when he had first heard that his daughter was dating Cristiano Ronaldo he had been worried about her, all he wanted for Alesha is happiness after the last two years she deserved to be happy.

Alesha blushed at the mention of Cristiano " He is great Dad really" she gushed.

Robert admired the smile on his daughters face " You must really like him" he replied " I haven't seen you smile like that since well Ben" Robert added, as his wife walked into the room some shortbread.

" What are you two both talking about?" Helen asked, as she smiled softly at Alesha.

Robert turned to his wife " We were just talking about Alesha's boyfriend" he replied.

Alesha blushed again, she laughed it was getting a habit her blushing at the slightest mention of Cristiano, she never used to be like this with Ben.

" Cristiano Ronaldo, he is kinda Yummy" Helen said with a teasing smile.

Alesha groaned as she sipped on her tea " I wouldn't let him hear you say that, his ego is big enough as it is" she giggled a little.

Robert smiled at Alesha she did seem really happy with the footballer and while he wouldn't be his first choice for Alesha he wouldn't get in their way " So when do we get to meet Ronaldo?" he asked.

" I don't know, he is kinda busy with football but I will talk to him, I am sure we can arrange something" Alesha replied.

Helen sat down beside Alesha, she had missed her daughter and was happy that she would be spending the next few days in London " I would love to meet him" she smiled, dying to meet the man that made her daughter smile again.

" He really is not that interesting" Alesha joked, as her phone rang again, she put her cup down and pulled her phone back out of her bag and sighed when she saw it was Cristiano again.

Robert saw the look on Alesha's face " Your phone has been going off all morning, maybe you should get that" he said.

" Its nobody important" Alesha lied, as she declined the call again and turned her phone off and put it back in her bag, she would talk to Cristiano when she was back in Madrid.

Helen smiled at Alesha she saw through the lie but decided not to push her " So do you have work lined up before you head back to Madrid?" she asked.

" Yeah my agent got me some work with Nike, which I will have to head to soon" Alesha replied as she glanced at her watch.

Robert stared at Alesha she seemed happy but she seemed to be holding back " Are you happy?" he asked.

" Yeah, I am happy" Alesha smiled, as she picked up her cup of tea and took a sip.

Robert and Helen shared a look, they saw the way Alesha smiled when she talked about Cristiano but she seemed to be deliberately holding back from him, and they knew partly that was because of what happened with Ben.

" If you are happy then why are you avoiding his calls?" Robert asked.

Alesha smiled she couldn't ever fool her father " I am not avoiding him, its just complicated" she replied.

" We just worry about you" Helen said, as she ran her hand through Alesha's hair.

Alesha frowned a little her parents didn't need to worry abut her, she was doing just fine " I am okay I promise" she replied, as she took another sip of her tea, she had forgotten how concerned her parents got when they hadn't seen her in a while.

Cristiano shook his head as he tried to call Alesha again, he was angry that she had just left for London without saying a word to him after they spent the night together. He understood she was spending time with family and friends, and she wouldn't be wanting to talk much. She didn't have to sneak out of his room, he had a feeling she was freaking out after spending the night with him and while part of him understood her reason for freaking out, the other part was annoyed that she just left his bedroom without saying a word before flying to London.

" What has got you frowning at your phone this morning?" Ricky asked, as he sat down with his lunch.

Cristiano sighed a little as he locked his phone and pushed it away from him " I give you a clue she is currently in London right now" he muttered.

" Did you two fight again before she left?" Ricky asked rolling his eyes.

Cristiano smiled a little " No we were fine" he replied.

" Then why is Alesha ignoring your calls" Ricky asked a little confused, he could never keep up with the daily Alesha and Cristiano drama.

Cristiano took a long drink of his water " I slept with her" he said, in between gulps of water.

Ricky smirked this had been coming everyone with eyes could have saw it coming " I guess she didn't think much of your bed skills if she is not talking to you" he joked.

" Oh please she enjoyed herself just as much as I did" Cristiano snorted, not amused at Ricky's joke.

Ricky laughed at Cristiano " Then why is she avoiding your calls?" he asked.

Cristiano shrugged his shoulders " I think she freaked out, and she doesn't know how to handle her feelings" he replied.

Ricky stared at Cristiano " Shouldn't you be freaked out, you don't tend to sleep with the same girl for more than one night" he smirked " I am not including Irina in that" he added.

" I am not freaking out, I actually want to see where this goes with Alesha" Cristiano replied.

Ricky cheered a little " My boy is ready to start dating again" he smiled.

" You're an idiot" Cristiano smirked as he finished his water off.

Ricky smiled at Cristiano " Here is my advice don't do anything stupid and give Alesha a little space I am sure she will talk to you when she is back at the weekend" he replied.

Cristiano nodded, he was going to listen to Ricky's advice there was no point in trying to rush Alesha into talking to him, when she clearly was not ready.

Alesha pulled her coat closer to her body as she walked towards Ben's grave, she hadn't been here in a long time and felt slightly guilty that she hadn't been here in months but with everything changing in her life these days it got easier to avoid the place. She gently placed the flowers down by his headstone, she smiled bitterly as she sat down on the grass.

" Alesha"

Alesha looked up to see Ben's mum walking towards her, she forced a polite smile on her face, she hadn't seen Ben's family since the funeral service. She had done everything possible to avoid bumping into Ben's family. They were a nice family but she couldn't help but think they blamed her somehow for the crash.

" Jane" she greeted softly.

Jane stared at Alesha surprised to see her at her son's grave, it had been a while since she had saw Alesha " How have you been?" she asked, placing her own flowers down by Alesha's.

" I have been good" Alesha smiled " How about you and everyone else?" she asked.

Jane sat down on the grass " Everyone is coping in their own way, the family misses you" she said.

" I am sorry for staying away, I just could not face anyone after Ben died" Alesha smiled sadly.

Jane smiled back at Alesha she could understand why she had stayed away but it didn't hurt any less " I have seen you have moved on" she said.

" I wouldn't call it moving on, its still fairly new" Alesha smiled, a slight blush appearing on her face.

Jane smiled she could see Alesha was in love again and while Ben would want that for her, she couldn't help but feel a little bitter that her son would not get to love again.

" Are you happy?" Jane asked.

Alesha thought about the answer, she was happier than she had been in months " I think so, he makes me smile again" she replied " Well when he is not annoying me, making me angry, he frustrates the hell out of me at times" she added.

" Isn't that how the best relationships all start out" Jane smiled.

Alesha sighed a little as she stared at Ben's headstone " I still feel guilty at times" she admitted.

" You have nothing to feel guilty about, Ben would have wanted you to move on" Jane replied. " We all just want you to be happy and if that is with that footballer then you should grab that happiness with both hands and hold on tight" she added.

Alesha smiled at Jane " I am happy, well I think I am" she finally admitted, she was scared of admitting it to herself but Cristiano did making her happy and she had been a total idiot sneaking out after they had spent the night together, if Cristiano had done that to her, she would have been furious at him. She needed to call him.

" I should go, It was nice seeing you" Alesha said, as she stood up.

Jane walked over to Alesha and hugged her " Don't be a stranger, it would be nice to keep in contact with you" she said.

" I would like that too" Alesha smiled hugging the older woman one last time before she turned and made her way back to her car, she would call Cristiano later tonight, she hoped he would not be too mad at her.

" I can't believe you are here in London" Hannah squealed as they sat at the bar with their drinks.

Alesha smiled as she pulled out her phone and placed it on the bar " I am only here for a few days and then back to Madrid" she replied.

" So how are things in Madrid?" Hannah asked.

Alesha blushed a little as she sipped on her vodka and coke " Things are good" she gushed.

Hannah saw the blush on Alesha's face and knew something happened " Something happened between you and Ronaldo?" she asked.

" Maybe" Alesha smiled.

Hannah gasped loudly " You slept with him" she yelled louder than she needed too.

Alesha laughed shaking her head " Do you want to shout that any louder?" she asked.

" Oh my god what was it like?" Hannah asked " I bet it was good" she added.

Alesha covered her hand with her face " You are so embarrassing" she groaned.

" Don't keep me waiting, what was he like?" Hannah asked.

Alesha took a gulp of her drink " It was really good" she answered, liking her lips.

" I bet it was you lucky girl" Hannah smirked " So are you together now?" she asked.

Alesha shrugged her shoulders " We haven't talked since that night, I kinda of sneaked out and headed straight to London" she replied.

" Oh god Alesha why would you do that?" Hannah groaned, shaking her head " He is going be pissed you know that right?" she asked.

Alesha sighed a little as she swiped her phone and opened her Instagram app, she scrolled down a little wanting to know if Cristiano had been online and it would appear he had been, he had posted a picture of himself with two blonde girls. They were all over him and he looked liked he was enjoying the attention they were giving him.

" You think?" Alesha asked, holding her phone up so Hannah could see the picture.

Hannah smiled a little " He is doing that to get to you and the look on your face right now, it has clearly worked" she replied.

" I don't know if I can trust him" Alesha admitted " He told Irina a few nights ago he missed her well that is what I think he had said" she added.

Hannah stared at Alesha " Are you sure he told Irina he missed her?" she asked " Were you drunk?" she added.

" I had been drinking so am not a hundred per cent sure he said it, but it sounded like that" Alesha replied.

Hannah just shook her head as she ordered them some more drinks " You need talk to him" she urged.

" I tried talking to him about it, but he would rather skip the talk and go straight to the sex" Alesha laughed.

Hannah smirked at Alesha " He is just a typical man" she replied.

Alesha sighed a little as she stared down at her phone " I really really like him" she finally admitted.

" Well you are finally admitting it so that is a start" Hannah smiled.

Alesha smiled as she quickly took a picture of them both and posted it on her Instagram " I think I am ready to tell Cristiano that" she smiled, hoping that her little freak out had not pushed Cristiano away.
