Dear Stella,

I’m not sure if you want to hear from me but I decided it was worth a shot. You need to hear the truth about how Severide died and it’s better coming from a Police Officer. Severide loved you more than anything. His last words were about you. He had plans to ask you out after the shift was over.

Severide was never supposed to be allowed back into that fire. Chief Boden tried to stop him, but there was nothing he could do. Severide had a heart and wanted to save the little girl that was still stuck inside. He gave up his life for the little girl. He died a hero and I want you to know that.

I know it hurts Stella especially the way you felt about him. Everyone could see how the two of you looked at each other except for you two. I found a letter that he wrote to you actually so I will send it along with mine. He loved you Stel, never forget that.
