II. Time Masters All

Four years. You can take and look at that with two perspectives: as a really long time, or not that long at all. In the time span that is a life, it's probably considered not that significant, but attach it to how long a relationship has lasted, then it's either sad or a goal still on the distant horizon.

There are so many experiences that are shared, cherished, and when you're looking forward to more, but the floor beneath your feet has vanished, all you can do is look around for something to hold on to while the other person rips them out of reach as they walk out the door.

It's bittersweet that those experiences and memories carve themselves into who you become in another four years.

Bittersweet when the stranger across the room melts away the ice around your heart.
