Summer Camp

I walked up to Melanie and Ashley’s front door and knocked.

“Hey.” Ashley said as she answered the door.

“Hey Ash, is Mel here?” I asked.

“Yes.”

“… Can I see her?” I asked.

“Yes you can.” She responded.

“Okay… Can I see her now?”

“Sure.” She moved aside and let me, about time.

“Hey Mel, you okay?” I asked, she looked a little down.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” She said giving me a smile.

I knew something was up; I’ll have to get it out of her later.

“So, what are you doing tonight?” I asked.

“I don’t know, probably chilling, you?” She asked.

“Why don’t you come to the camp fire tonight with me?” I asked.

“Can I come too; I’m probably going to get super bored here alone.” Ashley asked.

“Joe was going to ask you to go with him.”

“Oh, okay. I’m going with Joe, never mind.” She said as she sat down on the edge of her bed.

Mel and I let out little laughs.

“Well, I’ll see you tonight, seven o’clock?” I asked.

“Tonight, seven o’clock.” She confirmed.

“It’s a date.” I said and walked out of her cabin.

Half way down her steps I heard screams and shrieks coming from her cabin.

I rolled my eyes. “Girls.” I said and walked back to my cabin to get ready.
