Past or Future?

"Is that all the ingredients and supplies you need? They'll deliver it the day after tomorrow" I checked with Dan and Reese in case they might add some additional stuff needed for the shop.

"I'm clear how bout you Dan?" Reese held a folder and a pen scribbling something and looked towards Dan

"Yep, she's everything I need" Dan winked at me

"She?" I raised an eyebrow

"I mean that's all Art" Dan walked closer to me and held my chin, Reese looked at us with teasing smile

"What kind of lion never roars?" Dan looked seriously at me I groaned loudly

"Oh no" I held my hands in the air and floppily smacked them on my side

"Here we go!" Reese shaked his head but waited for Dan to continue

"A DANDE-LION !get it?!" Dan uproared loudly shaking his head. Reese and I looked at each other, we shook our head and face palmed

"Seriously? I got a better one" Joville joined in

"I'm not afraid of a competitor but sure let's here the newbie" Dan crossed his arms on his chest

"Why do the bananas wear sunscreen?" Joville was biting her lip

"Why?" Reese asked

"To stop them from PEELING! Hahaha!" Joville laughed hard her head banging

"You have got to be kidding me" I managed to say giving her a half smile

"Oh! it's on!" Dan said competitively raising his hands forming a fist

"Bring it!" Joville opened her palms and moved her fingers towards her, come and get me style

Reese and I looked at each and faced Jane who was arranging glasses, she glanced at us rolling her eyes she walked over and our attention was on Joville and Dan.

"Are we entertained or are we just being forced to be entertained?" Jane smiled listening to their banter

"Can I walk you home?" I asked while locking the doors of the shop

"Why?" Joville asked surprised

"I just want to but you can refuse if you want" I added looking at the ground too embarrassed to look her in the eye

Joville lifted my chin "I'm just kidding you idiot, of course, I would love that"

I'm an idiot now, great. "So.. uh do you live alone?"

"Your not really the talker are you? And to answer your question yes I live alone, I'm a boarder"

"Yes, I'm not really good in small talk" I bit my lip

"That's okay, we can work that out. How about answering my question a few days ago?" Joville teasingly looked

"You still haven't gotten over it?" my throat went suddenly dry

"I'm dying to know"

"Why's that? Do you want to date me? I asked nonchalantly as I could but my insides were squirming and and my voice gave a little shake. Joville stopped walking, I turned around questioningly the way she looked she has an evil glint in her eyes and it was making me nervous again

"If I say yes would you agree?" Joville's intense eyes were staring directly at mine. I held my breath and tried to not get jumpy and excited, my heart was hammering in my chest and there was a ringing in my ears.

I exhaled a breath "He he"

"Is that even a response?" Joville started walking again

I waved my hands in front of me like a maniac "I'm sorry I panicked I -I was never asked like that before and not so... soon"

"Ahh, so your saying that I'm moving too fast?"

"Do you mean with the way your walking right now or something else?" I hid a smile acting as if I didn't know.

Joville rolled her eyes "All right then, let's do it the old fashioned way. There's this new movie that I wanna watch badly and your coming with me, this Saturday at 6pm don't be late or I'll hunt you down" Joville walked the opposite direction and was facing a red gate

"I..."

"It's a date, I'll see you then, bye for now take care on your way home" and the gates closed

I stood there looking at th gate a stupid smile on my face too dumbfounded to speak.
