A Painful Life

Still Yumi's POV

"Yumi?" asked a familiar voice.

I looked up to see my best friend Saskea holding a duplicate application form like mine in her hand.I smiled up at her."Aren't you excited?"

Saskea smiled."Uh-huh.It's gonna be so fun kicking people's butt".

I looked at her suspiciously."Is that dumb Sasuke still in your head?'

"Yes,and he's not dumb,Yumi.Just give him some time and hopefully he'll start to come to his senses".

"Yeah,hopefully". I rolled my eyes a little too dramatically."So how's your boyfriend?"

"Who? I don't have a boyfriend."

I bit my lip when I noticed Saskea kinda looked serious there.Am I the one going crazy or is she? Of course she has a boyfried.It's Kiba.

"Yes you do.He's Kiba.Remember? I saw you guys lip-locking."

She just shook her head,making the curls of her long black hair bounce.

Huh.That's weird.This doesn't make anysense.How can she not remember or know that she's with Kiba? Someone twisted up life.Or took a part out.This isn't right.Other than that,it doesn't feel right either.I bit my lip nervously.Should I tell or just keep my mouth shut?
I stayed silent and thought for a while and soon made up my mind.I'll just keep my mouth shut.Since there's no harm to anyone done,but if this happens again,that certain person is not gonna get away with it.

Saskea looked up and went out of the living room we were in.She came back a few minutes later with a beautiful blue crystal neckalace.It sparkled with its silver string against the light.

"Oooh,that's really pretty,Saskea.Where'd you get it from?" I asked.

"My mother", she whispered."She gave it to me before she died".

~Saskea's Quick Flashback~

She was playing with her friends Sheera and Hanu when her mother called."Saskea?"

"Yes,mother?" she ran from playing with her friends to back at her house."Mother,where are you?"

"I'm in the balcony,sweetheart".

Saskea ran around the house to the back and slid the door open to see her mother smiling at her,motioning her to take a seat beside her.And she did."I have a little gift for you,hon".

She smiled eagerly."What is it,mother? What is it?"

Her mom put her hand over ( I don't believe in chain messages but hum... I didn't want to ignore this one and end up with a severed friendship lol special."

Saskea opened her tiny hand and gasped.

"Do you like it?"

She nodded as her mother helped her put it on.

"This neckalace is very powerful and I pass it down to you.Take care of it for me,okay?In the future,your cousin Zane will teach you everything about our clan."

She nodded."Mother? You seem as if something bad is going to happen."

"I'm sorry If I'm worrying you.But it's nothing for you to be concerned about.Now run off and go play with your friends".

"Okay!"

~End of flashback~
I nodded solemly.

"OKay,now let's finish filling out these forms.It's due three days from now but since we got those few days off to rest and stuff, I decided to train.That's s good thing".

After we finished with the forms,i took Saskea's from her hand.Before I got a chance to read anything, I felt a sense of familiar chakra coming from somewhere outside.I looked at Saskea and she got the same message.We jumped out the window and onto the roof with our kunai blades out ready to attack.
I threw mine and I heard it hit against another kunai or it being reflected.A figure came into view and it looked familiar.

I heard Saskea drew in a sharp deep breath and saw her eyes sported a bright red iris,within floated two black tomoe,or comma shaped symbols.The Sharingan! The Uchiha's special bloodline.
The figure in front of us gasped as another formed."She was telling the truth".

"But is it even possible?" the taller one asked.

" It's true.It really is.She is my--"

"Sasuke?" Yumi said,sounding pissed."And Zane?Why are you two here?"

They came into the dim light and I saw a little better,but it wasn't much help.Saskea's Sharingan retracted."Come inside and we'll explain".

"Alright then", Saskea spoke up.

They disappeared inside through my window inside and we took at seat on the floor instead of the couch.Great.Three Uchihas,one Kyoro.Saskea looked a little uncomfortable.
Suddenly Zane spoke,breaking the akward silence.So, it's true.You're alive,Kimura".
Saskea,who was beside me stiffened.Her face had turned pale.

"Kimura?" I said."Her name's Saskea".

"No,her name was Saskea.It is now Kimura",Zane said in a gentle tone."Everyone knows that.All the sensei's and other people know your true name is Kimura.Your mother told me that when she was seconds away before dying."

Saskea nodded."So you believe me?"

"Yes,Kimura.We've even seen your Sharingan and it's truely amazing that a female can acheive it".

She smiled and him.So I guess I'll be calling my best friend by Kimura Uchiha now?
Kimura glared at Sasuke for a little bit.He sighed."I'm sorry for what I said.I didn't mean it".

For a minute there,I thought Sasuke sounded sorry and sincere.

"Great.So we'll talk tomorrow",her cousin concluded as he and Sasuke disappeared in a puff of smoke."I really am sorry,Kimura". I heard Sasuke's faint apology.

I closed the window shut and went back over to where Saskea--I mean,Kimura sat.Her face looked pained."I guess mother wants to change.If that's what she wants in order for her to be happy then Kimura Uchiha will be my name".

"It's gonna be a little confusing from here on out,but I'll remind myself".

Kimura smiled at me."You're a great friend,Yumi."

I managed to smile back through the insanity that was building up in my head.' THIS DAY IS FREAKIN' KILLING ME!! Oh god,help me!!

"We should better get some rest.I'll see you in the morning Yumi.Goodnight."

And she and I left into our rooms and drifted off to sleep.
