A Painful Life

Sasuke's POV

I looked at the boy and studied him for a while. I suddenly realized... he was ZANE! My cousin was still alive? I thought he was dead.

Flashback:
I was 7 years old. I was running back home cuz it was pretty dark. Suddenly, I saw dead bodies on the ground. Everything went black. Dead bodies all around me. I couldn't stand it so I screamed loudly. I ran back home and saw Zane lying dead too. I gasped and went to the house. Mother! Father! I saw them lying dead too.
End of flashback.

I looked confused but I found him too surprised.

"Do I know you?" I asked.

"Probably not. But I'm curious about you too." He said.

"Zane?" I said.

He looked at me dumbfounded. "What did you call me?"

"Zane, I know it's you but I couldn't believe you were still alive." I told him.

"Sasuke? Is that you?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"I'm glad to see you but I can't forgive your..." He started.

"I know." I said interrupting him.

Then, two more people came; a girl with blue multi-braided ponytail and a boy with gray hair and red eyes. I didn't really care about them.

"Hey!" The boy said.

"Hn." The girl said.

"Okay. Let's get moving." Kakashi said. He turned to Squad 1. "I'm Kakashi Hatake, sensei of Squad 7 and Yumi; your sensei's sister. Now we have to get moving."

Kakashi's POV

We were walking in the forest searching for any signs of Yumi or Sara. Suddenly, we saw Yumi on the ground; bloody, beat and unconscious.

Naruto gasped. "YUMI!! OMG! SHE'S NOT MOVING!"

Sakura looked worried. "What do we do Kakashi sensei?"

"I better check her out." I said.

I knelt down to see her heart beat. It was terribly slow. I also noticed the curse mark of the black dragon on Yumi's neck. Uh oh. Orochimaru. He must have kidnapped her.

"We must get Yumi back to the village." I said.

"What about Sara sensei, Kakashi sensei?" Sakura asked.

"We can look for her in that building." Zane said.

"Alright. Are you sure you'll be okay?" I asked.

"You don't have to worry about us." The other boy said.

"I'll wait here til you find her." I told them.

After ten minutes

"No one's inside." They said.

"What?"

"We searched everywhere and not a sign of Sara sensei." The girl said.

Could they have killed her? No, it can't be.

"Wait. You stay here while I go check something." I said as I poofed into thin air.

I sensed someone's chakra near us. I saw a body lying on the floor. It was Sara but she didn't look alive. I carried her and returned to my squad.

"I found Sara. Let's go."

"Man, she too?" Naruto said with his eyes closed.

We walked slowly back to the village. We went to the hospital and left Yumi and Sara there. Everybody got flowers for them. I just hoped they would be alright.

Yumi's POV

Flashback:
I was in the Leaf village. I was walking back home til a messenger ninja came.

"Yumi. Come quick. The Hokage wants you." The messenger said.

I quickly ran to the Hokage's office.

"Yumi. I have disturbing news, Sara is gone." The hokage said.

"GONE? WHAT DO YOU MEAN GONE??" I asked.

"A ninja saw her lying dead in the village hidden among the stones." He said.

"No! Tell me it's not true. Please." I said.

"I'm sorry but it's true." He said.

I quickly ran out of the office. I was crying heavily. Why you Sara? Why did you leave me? Why? I reached the Konoha gates and ran away... I didn't know where I was going but I just kept running away...
End of flashback.

Naruto's POV

I went to the hospital to see Yumi. They couldn't let me in until I brought Kakashi sensei with me. I entered her room and saw her sleeping but tears were streaming down her face. I felt bad because she was having a bad dream. There was also a black mark on her neck that I never noticed before. I left the flowers and went out of the room.

Yumi's POV
