Niley: The Real Story
The Swing At The Park
Today was the day I was going to see Selena. I dressed especially nice but not too nice. I wore black skinny jeans and a fitted black shirt. Joe and Kevin were at one of their friends houses so they would come later. I was ready early so I decided to go early and maybe talk to Miley or Trace. I walked over to her house and saw that their car was gone. I thought that maybe her dad and Trace went to the store so I walked to their porch and rang the doorbell. No one answered. I sighed and decided to go for a walk. I ended up walking towards the park and stopped to see Selena crying sitting on a swing moving back and forth. I couldn't believe this. I couldn't just stand there and pretend like I don't see her. I walked towards her and asked,
"Hey. Do you mind if I sit on the swing next to you?" She looked up, eyes filled with tears and makeup smeared, and remained silent. I sat down and began to move back and forth on the swing next to her.
"What's wrong? Maybe I can help," I didn't know what to say so that was the first thing that came to mind.
"I'm having problems," she said as her face became a bright red,"I just got in an argument with my boyfriend and well we're not talking right now. And I have a lot of things going on right now."
"Well maybe I can help," I wanted to talk about the kiss but now was not the time, well I don't think.
"Can you tell Miley, well, she got mad at me the other day when I spent the night. She saw me looking at you and you looking at me and she was pissed. You didn't tell her about the, the kiss, did you?" She said quietly. Ok I guess it was the right time.
"No I didn't. She already talked to me about it. She seemed mad at first but I told her she had nothing to worry about. Well I don't know if that's completely tr-" I stopped myself. I can't believe I actually said that. I turned away and looked down. She didn't say anything back and I looked up at her and saw her smiling but it quickly left her face. She quickly changed the subject,
"So why aren't you at Miley's house yet? Weren't you supposed to be there like half an hour ago?"
"Well no one was home so I decided to go for a walk and ended up here."
"Nice. Hey lets have a contest to see who can jump the farthest," Selena exclaimed as she started to swing. I laughed and started swinging too. We counted down,
"THREE! TWO! ONE! Ahh! Ha ha!" We fell on the sand laughing and rolled over, both lying on our stomachs. I looked into her eyes and she looked into mine. I moved closer to her and she moved closer to me. Our bodies we're almost touching. I turned to face her and she turned her body towards mine. I moved closer, now our bodies were touching and I could feel breathing next to me. I put my arms around her and leaned in to kiss her when my phone rang. I jumped back and sat up to get my phone from my back pocket. I answered my phone,
"Hello?"
"Nick are you coming? Mandy an Demi and Joe and Kevin are already here. Your brothers said you were going to be here earlier," Miley asked. I had completely forgotten about that.
"Uh yeah I just had to take care of some stuff, hold on ok?" I turned to Selena and whispered," Hey are you gonna go to Miley's house?"
"Yeah."
"Yeah I'll be there. Bye." Selena looked at me waiting for me to say something.
"Um I think we should get going now," I said as I stood up and helped Selena up. We slowly walked to Miley's house, staring at each other when the other wasn't looking. When we did we just smiled. I badly wanted to kiss her again and I was so close earlier, but then it hit me. I'm still going out with Miley. I stopped looking at Selena and my face became serious. I walked the rest of the way trying not to look at her but it was too hard. Finally we arrived at Miley's house. She came to the door and saw Selena standing next to me. Her face froze and she looked at me and then at her and then her face became fierce. Selena looked uncomfortable and quickly walked to go with Demi. I stood there and looked down. Miley didn't greet me with her usual hug and kiss. She just walked off into the living room. I stayed there for a few moments and walked into the living room
"Hey. Do you mind if I sit on the swing next to you?" She looked up, eyes filled with tears and makeup smeared, and remained silent. I sat down and began to move back and forth on the swing next to her.
