You And Me Together

I sat on my bed, the covers on my lap, and still in my pajamas.I couldn't sleep, but didn't want to get up. I heard the home phone ring. I heard my dad answer it.

"Hello?... Oh, hello. Oh thats very nice, but why don't you come over here for it? No no, it's perfectly fine. Okay, see you soon, bye." I heard him say, then hang up. I groaned, and fell backwards, the back of my head hitting my pillow. I pulled the blankets over me completely.

"Alyssa, come downstairs in 10 minutes for breakfast." My dad said. I gave him a thumbs up, still hiding from the sun. He walked away, so I shot up. I heard someone knock on the door, and it swing open. I heard some talking, but faintly.

"Alyssa! Come on!" He shouted. I moaned, not wanting to go downstairs. I stood up, not bothering to get dressed. I just wanted to stay in my pajamas all day. I mean, come on, they were blue PJ pants, with skull with hearts for eyes, and a blue shirt that said "Totally Famous" in silver lettering. How cool is that? I opened my door, and closed my eyes. I kept them closed as I walked downstairs. I knew my way around.

"Morning."I heard someone say. I smirked, knowing it was Joe.

"Morning." I mumbled. I opened my eyes. Not only Joe, but his whole family.

"Thanks again for inviting us for breakfast." Paul said. I looked at my parents, then at Joe.

"Sleep good?" He asked, walking over to me. I nodded. He pulled me into his chest. I kissed him quickly, then rested my head on him.

"Did you?" I asked. He nodded, causing me to smile.

I sat on Joe's lap, looking at the television. I looked at the VCR. 9:15am.

"I'm late!" I shouted, jumping up quickly. Everyone glanced at me, then Arianna followed me up the stairs.

"My shower!" I shouted, running into the bathroom, and turning the water on. I waited for it to warm up, then I jumped in. I washed my hair and body, then rinsed off. I got out, drying my body.

"What're you late for?" I heard my mother shout.

"School!" I said, pulling a pair of capris and a gray shirt on. I jogged into my room, brushing my damp hair. I braided a few pieces of hair, and left the rest down. I ran into Joe as I hit the bottom of the stairs.

"Relax! I'll drive you two." He said. I took a much needed breath.

"Thank you." I said. He smirked. Arianna jogged down, grabbing her jacket.

"Thank you so much for the ride Joe." I said. He got out, and hugged me.

"I'll see you later." He said, kissing my cheek. I nodded, kissed his cheek, then ran inside with Arianna.

"I'm here!" I shouted as I ran into my classroom. Everyone looked at me.

"You're late." My teacher said. I nodded, sitting in my seat.

"Yeah, I kinda forgot that I had school." I said, blowing hair out of my face.

Whew! I'm glad today is the last day!
