Hello Beautiful

“All right guys, we should start making lunch,” I said as we got back into the house, “We are going to starve.”

“Yeah, I’m hungry,” Joe said.

Everyone else agreed, all of a sudden I felt someone grab my arm, I turned around to see Nick.

“Can we talk please?” he said.

I sighed, “I’ve had enough of talking to people for today,” I said.

He sighed, “Come on, I’m your best friend, it’s different,” he said.

I smiled slightly, “Alright,” I said and then turned to Joe, “I’m going to go talk to Nick, I’ll be right back.”

Joe sighed, “I’m not going to punch him too,” he said.

I laughed, “You don’t have to punch him,” I said and turned back to Nick, “Come on, let’s go upstairs.”

We walked upstairs and into his room.

“I’m sorry for saying what I said earlier, I didn’t mean for it to come out, it just did,” he said.

“It’s alright, no big deal,” I said.

He nodded, “Okay,” he said and took a deep breath.

“What’s wrong?” I said touching his arm slightly.

“Everythings wrong,” he said softly.

“Explain,” I said.

He looked at me, “I don’t know what’s wrong with me,” he said.

“Did you check your blood today?” I asked.

He sighed, “It’s not that, I mean, I’m just having weird feelings,” he said.

I sat on his bed, “About,” I asked even though I already knew the answer.

He sat next to me, “You,” he said.

“Nick…” I started.

“Why Joe?” he asked.

I was shocked, “I don’t know, I can’t control my feelings,” I said.

He sighed, “Is it because he’s cuter and older than me?” he said.

“Age has nothing to do with it, and you…” I started.

“What? I’m ugly right?” he said.

I sighed, “No, you’re gorgeous,” I said softly.

He laughed, “Yeah, right,” he said.

“You are, I mean, I don’t know,” I sighed.

“Have you ever thought about me in that way?” he asked.

“Once, when I had a dream about you,” I said honestly.

He smiled, “Really?” he said, “What about?”

“We kissed,” I said.

“Like this?” he said and all of a sudden his lips were on mine.

I didn’t kiss him back but I didn’t push him away either.

“You guys it’s time for---,” as soon as Kevin’s voice was heard Nick pulled away.

My eyes went wide, “Kevin, it’s not what it looks like,” I said and stood up.

He walked in completely and shut the door.

“Then what is it,” he said angrily.

“I kissed her, she didn’t kiss me,” Nick said.

“I didn’t see you fighting him,” Kevin said looking at me.

“I didn’t react at all, I didn’t expect it, I just stood there,” I said honestly.

He studied my face and then looked at Nick, “What’s wrong with you?” he said, “She’s Joe’s girlfriend.”

Nick sighed, “I know Kev, it’s just, I don’t know, it’s just complicated,” he said.

“Well, uncomplicate it,” Kevin said looking at him, “Now, I’m not going to say anything to anyone but you guys better figure this out before Joe gets hurt.”

Then he walked out.

It was quiet for a few seconds, “Are you sure you’re with the right Jonas?” Nick asked.

That’s exactly what he said in my dream.

“Nick, you’re my best friend, and when you kissed me right now, that’s how it felt, like kissing a best friend,” I said honestly.

I nodded and walked out the room and down the stairs.

Should I tell Joe what happened?...I will later.

Joe walked to wards me and kissed my forehead.

Kevin looked at me with a dissapointed face.

I sighed, “I made you a sandwhich babe,” he said as he handed me a plate with a sandwhich.

I smiled and kissed his cheek, “Thanks,” I said.

Just then Nick walked in the kitchen, “Nick, what’s wrong?” Nina said.

I looked at him closely.

He shook his head, “I got something in my eye,” he said.

He was crying.

Oh my god, I made him cry. What’s wrong me?

“Rinse your eye, bro,” Joe said.
Nick nodded, “Yeah, I will,” he said going to the downstairs bathroom.

Kevin looked at me again and shook his head.

I just sighed and sat down and Joe sat next to me.

“Something wrong?” Joe said grabbing my hand.

I shook my head, “I’m alright,” I said to him.

After lunch I pulled Nina to the hallway and told her.

“Poor Nick,” she said.

My eyes widened, “Poor Nick? Poor me! Poor Joe!” I said.

She sighed, “I mean, poor Nick because he got his heart broken, he shouldn’t have kissed you like that, I mean you’re his brothers girlfriend,” she said, “You don’t like him do you?”

“I love Joe,” I said truthfully.

“That doesn’t necessarily mean that you don’t like Nick,” she said.

I shook my head, “I don’t like Nick, he’s my best friend, I couldn’t possibly like him,” I said.

“Are you sure?” she asked.

I nodded, “Positive,” I said.

She nodded, “I think you should still tell Joe what happened though,” she said.

“I know, I just don’t want him mad at Nick,” I said.

“Nick kissed you, of course he’s going to be mad, I mean look at what happened early with Devyn, it’ll probably be worse with Nick,” Nina said.

“Don’t say that, I don’t want Nick to get hurt,” I said.

“Just tell Joe and tell him not to overreact and not do anything stupid, I’m sure he’ll listen to you, I mean, that boy is whipped,” she said.

I smiled, “So, how’s your relationship?” I asked with a laugh.

“Absolutely amazing, he’s perfect,” she said.
