Sequel: Always and Forever

Hello Beautiful

Chapter Twenty Nine

*Jewel’s P.O.V.*

We were all in Kevin’s room. Except for Nick of course.

“I really didn’t expect you to start making out in my room, Joe,” Kevin said wrapping his arms around Nina.

Joe laughed, “What can I say, I’m unpredictable,” he said pressing his lips to my forehead.

“Isn’t it weird to be making out with me while your brother is in the room?” I asked Joe.

Nina laughed, “He doesn’t care who’s in the room,” she said, “He’s smitten by you.”

I looked at her, “Oh please, he’s not smitten,” I said.

“Yeah, he is, look at him now, he’s just staring at you with a smile on his face,” Nina said.

I shook my head, “Not even, he-,” I stopped because I noticed Joe staring at me.

I made a face, “Joe,” I said looking at him.

He was staring at me but he didn’t answer.

I smiled, grabbed his face, and kissed his lips.

He snapped out of his gaze and smiled, “Whoa,” he said, “You were saying.”

I smiled. Gosh, he was so adorable.

“Told you,” Nina said as her and Kevin laughed.

“Told you what?” Joe asked cluelessly.

I smiled, “She said that you were smitten,” I said.

He smiled, “Completely,” he said.

I grinned.

“Aww,” Nina and Kevin said together.

“Anyways!” I said changing the subject.

They all laughed.

Just then Denise walked in, “Dinner is going to be ready in an hour kids,” she said.

“Okay, mom,” Kevin and Joe said at the same time.

“Thanks, Denise,” Nina and I said together.

I stood up, “I’m going to take a shower before dinner,” I said.

Joe grinned, “Me too,” he said.

Kevin made a face, “Together?” he said.

I grinned, “Maybe,” I said and walked out of Kevin’s room and into Joe’s.

Joe was right behind me, “Really?” he said excitedly.

I laughed, “No, I was kidding,” I said.

He pouted as I got my pajamas out of his dresser.

I walked into his bathroom, I undressed.

I turned the water on, once it was a good a temperature and I got in.

I heard the bathroom door open and then close.

I laughed, “Joe, what are you doing,” I said.

“My hormones are going crazy,” I heard him say.

I laughed, “So what?” I said running my hands through my hair.

I heard him sigh, “Look, we’re eighteen, right,” he asked.

“Yeah,” I said.

“Well, I think we’re old enough to do some stuff,” he said.

I laughed, “Joe, that’s just your hormones talking,” I said.

“Partially,” he said.

“So, what kind of stuff are you talking about,” I said.

“Showering together,” he said.

“Joe,” I started.

“I promise, I’ll be good,” he said.

I smiled to myself.

Showering with my gorgeous boyfriend doesn’t sound like a bad idea.

“Is your bedroom door locked?” I asked.

“Is that a yes?” I could hear the smile in his voice.

“Yes,” I said.

“Okay,” he said.

I could see his shadow undressing, and my heart was racing.

Then I saw his fingers on the shower curtain and I took a deep breath, “Okay, I’m going to come in now,” he said.

I laughed, “I don’t need a play by play,” I said.

He laughed, “Sorry, I’m just nervous,” he said.

“Me too,” I said.

Then he stepped in and his eyes locked on mine immediately.

We were smiling at each other like crazy but neither of us were saying a word.

“So, um, are you going to slap me if I look down?” he asked.

I laughed and shook my head, “I sort of owe you anyways,” I said.

He smiled and kissed me gently.

Once we pulled away from each other, he smiled at me again, and then his eyes traveled down.

About a minute later they were back up, “Wow,” he said with a smile.

I smiled and my eyes traveled down his body and then slowly back up it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

“Wow, yourself,” I said as we both laughed.

He brought his hand up to my cheek and gazed it with his thumb and kissed me, “I love you,” he said.

I smiled against his lips, “I love you, too,” I said.

About thirty minutes later we got out of the shower.

“You know, if we did break our promise, I don’t think God would be mad,” Joe said as we were putting on our pajamas.

I shrugged, “Maybe not, but our parents would be,” I said.

He shook his head, “Disappointed maybe, but not mad,” he said, “I mean, we love each other right.”

I smiled, “Yes, but still,” I said brushing my hair, “Why are you even thinking about that?”

“Because I have a feeling it’s going to happen soon,” he said.

I just smiled.

We went down stairs and as soon as we walked in the kitchen Nina looked at me with a smile.

“What?” I said as Joe and sat down.

“Nothing,” Nina said with a laugh, “Nothing at all.”

I laughed nervously.

“Preserving water, huh?” Nick said taking a sip of his drink and looking at me.

“Jealous?” Joe said looking at him and then turning away.

“Extremely,” Nick said softly.

I sighed and began eating.

“How was your day, kids?” Denise asked.

“Fun, we played hide and seek, and Joe made some guys nose bleed!” Frankie said excitedly.

“Joseph!” Denise said.

“I had a good reason,” Joe said.

“Oh really, what was that?” Paul said.

“He was Jewel’s ex-girlfriend,” Joe said.

“That’s not a good reason,” Paul said.

“Dad, it’s because he’s hit Jewel before,” Nick said.

“Yeah, Joe just gave him a piece of his own medicine, just a bigger dosage,” Kevin said.

“Oh, well, that changes everything then,” Paul said.

“We’re proud of you for defending Jewel,” Denise said, “Just next time, try not to use violence.”

“Alright,” Joe said as I smiled slightly.
