Valeria’s POV
I was in complete shock, so much so that I just opened and closed my mouth for a few moments and Matt sighed before going to move away muttering
“guess you don’t feel the same” he went to pull back but my hand shot out and grabbed his arm and he looked at me a little shocked and asked
“what? What’s the matter?” I shook my head and smiled
“nothing now” he looked confused so I carried on “you know I laid here in this bed thinking the whole day and I came to a conclusion that well I love you, I realised that I can’t sleep or wake up without you and you know that for me that is pretty sad so yeah I feel the same way Matt” Matt looked at me shocked and I grinned
“see, it’s not so easy to speak after something like that” a slow smile spread on his face until he had a huge s*** eating grin on his face as he asked slightly excited
“are you serious?” I nodded and he bent towards me and kissed me hard on the lips which I returned with equal fever.
When the kiss broke we were both breathing hard and Matt said
“do you want me to sleep in here then?” I nodded and scooted over in the bed so he could shuffle on and he did so, being careful of the wires and my IV. When he was finally laid beside me he chuckled and said
“I can’t wait until you’re healed and I can actually hold you” I smiled in the dark and laid my head on his shoulder
“I know but well it will be like a month, the doctor said that looking at my new x-rays, my leg is fractured not broken, they got the wrong scan so it will take less time to heal but I have to keep the cast on for like 3 weeks to make sure and well my arm will be a while and the ribs will be a couple of weeks” Matt nodded and kissed the side of my head
“my little walking disaster” I smiled and snuggled into him saying sleepily
“you will be here when I wake up right?” Matt took my unhurt hand and kissed it saying
“of course I will honey, I’m not leaving you” I nodded and quickly fell into a deep sleep with no dreams.

In the next week my Madre visited making such a fuss over me and bringing me cake which the doctor tried to tell her I couldn’t have but she just gave him a withering look and he backed down every time. She fussed and Don told me that he should never have given me the assignment and I assured him that it was fine and that if he hadn’t then it would have been something equally as bad so it’s fine and I was still alive.
The others all visited regularly and Ari was constantly on to me about various things about the wedding and I could empathise with Zacky’s suffering.
The whole time though Matt was by my side though and he was giving me these looks like I was the best thing in the world and I liked the feeling.
Eventually at the end of the week I was released and allowed home.
Matt had a hold of my arm supporting me as I hobbled through the door of the house. When inside Matt grinned and said
“home sweet home” I sighed and grinned up at him
“yeah it’s good to be back and hey I get to sleep in my own bed now with my own sheets which don’t itch” Matt laughed and took me into the living room where Ari and the others were sat around though the guys were staring into space while Ari, Mina and Kat were all concentrating on the wedding book and the massive amount of paper spread out everywhere.
Looking up Ari saw me and waved me over saying
“Val! Come and sort all of this out for me I can’t be dealing with it” I rolled my eyes and made to move over there but Matt held fast onto my arm and stared hard at Ari saying
“she’s not up to all of this yet Ari and it’s your wedding” I turned and raised a brow at him but said nothing for the moment though I heard Ari say snippily
“oh yeah and you’re gonna tell me how to treat my own sister?” Matt glanced at me before nodding
“yes at the moment I am until she is better now if you want to make things easier on yourself, I suggest you simplify the wedding” I heard Ari’s shocked gasp behind me and some sniggers from the guys while I just let my eyes go wide and my mouth drop open. Seeing my face Matt grimaced and hauled me into his arms and carried me up the stairs while I was still in shock from the fact that he had just told my sister what to do, even I wouldn’t tell her how to do her own wedding.
When we reached the top of the steps Matt turned into my room and walked straight to my bed where he placed me down gently before walking back a few paces with a cautious look on his face. I sat up and rubbed my leg before raising a brow at him and stating
“you just told my sister what to do with her wedding” Matt winced and nodded running a hand through his hair before he said slowly
“yeah I did” I nodded back and waited as his face became more anxious as he waited for my reaction.
A minute later a grin spread across my face as I clapped my hands
“bravo darling! I would never have been able to do that!” Matt looked at me in shock before babbling
“you’re ok with it?!” I nodded
“yeah I mean I’m guessing everyone here has wanted to that for the last week and no one had the guts” I smiled up him and he grinned down at me and walked forwards so he was stood in front of me at the side of the bed. My smile turned to a smirk as I reached out and took his hands in mine, pulling him with me as I laid back on the bed forcing him to come down with me and kind of half lean half lay on the bed. Looking into his eyes I said
“you know it was also incredibly sweet that you did it in my defence so I wouldn’t have to do all of that” Matt smiled and brushed a piece of hair from my face
“well I had to, you just got out of hospital honey and I don’t think you should be doing things like that soon” I raised a brow as my smirk deepened and lowering my voice to a sexy whisper I said
“anything?” Matt shook his head but I could see the heat in his eyes
“no nothing active” I pouted and said
“well that doesn’t work for me” I then pulled his head down to mine and kissed him deeply.
We kissed for a moment then Matt tried to pull away but I caught his lower lip in my teeth and gently nibbled on it making him groan and swoop in for another deep kiss.
Groaning in frustration he pulled back and still above me he said
“honey you have bandages all over you and all sorts of injuries, this is not the best thing to be doing” I grinned cheekily
“a creative man could get around those injuries” I challenged and Matt raised a brow before giving up and came back for another kiss.
That kiss deepened and lengthened, heating up; clothes came off and we lay on the bed panting as Matt prepared himself but stopped raised above me and said
“marry me” I looked up at him in shock, this was the second time in a week he had shocked me and I just said
“what?” Matt leaned down and kissed me before pulling back and saying
“marry me” I shook my head
“why are you asking me now, we are kinda busy” Matt chuckled and replied
“it’s the perfect time to ask and just answer the question Val” I saw the hint of worry in his eyes that I would say no but then I also saw the conviction that I would give him the answer he wants. I nodded my head and pulled him down to me kissing him thoroughly as he entered me and let’s say that he got to be very creative.

We lay back on the bed, my head in the crook of his arm as he lay on his side looking at me, running a finger up and down my side making little tremors run up my spine. He grinned and said
“I can’t believe I will get to call you mine” I giggled and turned my head to kiss his bicep before saying
“I can’t wait either but you know this is not a good time for us to tell everyone” he looked at me confused as his eyebrows drew together and he asked
“what do you mean?” I sighed
“well Ari is getting married and there’s this huge fuss about it, I mean she’s put a lot of effort into this and I don’t want to ruin it by telling everyone we are getting married, it would take attention away from her big day, you know what I mean?” Matt shook his head
“Sorry no I don’t honey” I sighed and looking into his eyes I said
“I want to marry you more than anything but I think we should wait until after Ari’s married ok? I mean she has had to put up with a lot of stuff with me over the years and I want this to be special for her” Matt regarded me for a long moment before sighing and leaning down kissing my temple
“I get it honey and I get that you want this for Ari I just want to tell everyone and have you be mine for sure” I smiled and placed a hand on his cheek looking into his eyes
“I am yours silly and I will be for a very long time” Matt grinned
“more than a long time honey, I’m not planning on letting you go” I rolled my eyes
“ok forever, now can I go to sleep?” I asked and went to lay back with my eyes closed but I heard Matt say
“oh no you don’t, I’ve got more ideas now” I opened my eyes and looked at him confused though he had a devilish smirk on his face as I asked
“what do you mean?” he grinned
“you’ll see” he then rolled over me making me squeal in surprise though it was quickly cut off as he attached his lips to mine and I returned the kiss with fervor and we soon got into round two.
