Shut Your Mouth and Get Down on the Floor

I Would Drop You On A Dime

take my time.

don't need no lines.
cause my move are hot, and i never stop girl.
hey, i know.
you've heard it all before, and you seen it all.
hey, i know.
its the same old song, its the same old song.
i'm the kind of guy that you ain't ever seen before.
if you want to hit the floor, are you ready for more?
i'm the kind of guy that it ain't easy to forget.
girl, i'm gonna make you sweat.
are you ready?
are you ready for more?
i may not be nice.
i won't remember your name, girl.
the things you understand, they could never comprehend.

no need to explain it.
hey, i know.
i talk a lot, but i back it up.
you got.
hey, i know.
you got me all wrong.
got me wrong.
i'm the kind of guy that you ain't ever seen before.
if you want to hit the floor, are you ready for more?
i'm the kind of guy that it ain't easy to forget.
girl, i'm gonna make you sweat.
are you ready?
are you ready for more?
boy, i know what you're gonna say.
or did you think i was born yesterday?
i know you must think, i got something to prove.
but girl, i really only want to hit the floor with you.
i'm the kind of guy that you ain't ever seen before.
if you want to hit the floor, are you ready for more?
i'm the kind of guy that it ain't easy to forget.
girl, i'm gonna make you sweat.
are you ready?
are you ready for more?
i'm the kind of guy that you ain't ever seen before.
if you want to hit the floor, are you ready for more?
i'm the kind of guy that it ain't easy to forget.
girl, i'm gonna make you sweat.
are you ready?
are you ready for more?

As soon as I got to my apartment I turned my iPod off. I’d left Gabe’s apartment while he was still asleep. I didn’t believe I wanted any more from him.

I couldn’t see him ever again.

I was sad to see that Devin was already at work when I got home. I’d been wanting to talk to him.

I wasn’t going to tell him about Gabe because to me, Gabe and I were completely over. I just had to resist all urge to talk to him again.

I called Devin on his cell and left him a sexy message to get later.

I was so determined to get this out of my head, this silly fantasy.

I went to take a shower, to wash his touch and his strong smell off of me.

I got something to eat, got ready for work, and headed out extra early.

I didn’t talk to anyone at the office, I just went over my photos, did what I was supposed to do.

At the end of the day, Genna, my secretary, told me I had had a few calls.

“Who from?” I asked.

“Someone named Gabe,” she replied.

I smirked. “Did he leave a message?”

“Just to call him,” she replied.

I shook my head, told her goodbye, and drove home, not thinking about him once.

I went home, saw Devin was in the shower and joined him. I bit my lip from moaning a certain person’s name as our wet, naked hips rubbed together.

After convincing myself that Devin was a much better fuck then him I left him in bed and went to the office with a bowl of popcorn and watched hundreds of Cobra Starship videos that I could find on Youtube.

The next morning Devin woke me up. I’d fallen asleep in the office and the rest of the popcorn was all over the floor.

“I’ll clean it up,” I muttered.

He kissed me and told me he’d meet me at the fancy French restaurant we’d made reservations for tonight at seven and then left for work.

I cried.

That night as I picked at my food he grabbed my hand. “What’s wrong my love?”

I forced a smile. “Nothing’s wrong.”

Who are you kidding Mae, your past is catching up with you.

And then the present hit me like a bullet and I was back in reality.

Devin knelt to the ground and reached into his pocket, pulling out a small jewelry box.

I instantly started crying, but not for the reasons he believed.

“Mae, will you marry me?” he asked, a smile bright on his face.

He was everything I wanted. Promise of a good future, a home, stable money, we were that couple everyone knew would marry sometime or another. He wanted children, I wanted children. He wasn’t touring the country for months on end, living like a rock star, fucking any girl he wanted.

Devin would be faithful to me forever.

I looked to my right and to my left.

I could do no better than this man before me, a man that loved me, a man who I loved.

And so I said yes.

Yes to a life I suddenly didn’t want...
