Wreckage From the Past Haunts Me; Shakes Me to the Bone

Chapter 45: Lost Without My Synyster

LUSTY”S CHAPTER:::

I sighed and ran my fingers over the strings again. Music always helped me unwind, even if I was unwinding from touring. The sound of my guitar calmed me, soothed me. So it made sense for me to be down in mine and Brian's studio plucking away while Brian took a much needed nap in our room upstairs. I listened to the soft melody with my eyes closed, and rough, warm hands brought me out of my little world.

"Miss me?" Brian asked. I could already see the smirk on his face.

"Only a little bit," I said and leaned my head back. The back of my head rested against his stomach, and Brian leaned down to give me a quick kiss. He looked beside me, and I noticed the small glass. I smiled at him before taking a sip. Brian's hands stayed on my shoulders, and he started to lightly massage them.

"Play for me?" he whispered in my ear. His hands were working magic on my shoulders, so I just nodded my head. I thought of what song to play, and I heard a familiar song whisper in my head. I smiled and started playing the beginning of the song. As Brian massaged my shoulders, he started to sing...

This time I realize you're looking this way with your real eyes.

You're the beat that cant stop,
the peak of plot,
the deep in my thought,
the time on my watch.
You're the air that I breathe,
the world that I see, you are.

I could never find a way or right things to say,
I guess I just didn't know how.

You see the longer that we wait, the more time things could take,
I guess I'll have to spell it out...

You're my E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G
Everywhere, everytime, everything.

You're the beat that cant stop,
the peak of plot,
the deep in my thought,
the time on my watch.
You're the air that I breathe,
the world that I see, you are.

I could never find a way or right things to say,
I guess I just didn't know how.

You see the longer that we wait, the more time things could take,
I guess I'll have to spell it out...

You're my E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G
Everywhere, everytime, everything.

(Girl I can't stop)
Girl I can't stop thinking about anyone else but you.

You're my E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G
Everywhere, everytime, everything.

The song quietly ended, and I leaned my head back to smile up at Brian. He smiled back down at me, and then he carefully took the guitar from my hands. He leaned it against the wall, and then he bent down to pick me up. I let out a small squeal before wrapping my arms around his neck.

"Where are we going?" I asked. Chocolate brown eyes looked into mine, and his infamous smirk made goosebumps on my skin.

"It's a surprise," Brian said and looked straight ahead. He carried me through the house and out into the backyard. The only light came from the moon and the candles that surrounded the Jacuzzi. My eyes soaked in the dozen or so red and white candles, and Brian was smiling, not smirking, when I finally looked back up at him. He put me on my feet next to the Jacuzzi, and I looked up at him.

"I'm not wearing a bathing suit," I said.

"Neither am I," Brian said.

"So, what are we gonna do?" I asked.

"I feel like being adventurous tonight," Brian said, and his playful smirk was back. I started to respond, but Brian picked me up and stepped into the Jacuzzi.

"We're still dressed!" I yelled as the water soaked through my jeans.

"I can always change that," Brian whispered in my ear. One hand held me up while the other one made quick work with my jeans. They were off and thrown to the side in a minute, and then Brian was pulling my shirt up. I helped him by wiggling, and when it was off he finally sat me down. I stood up in the warm water and looked over Brian.

"You're not playing fair," I said and stuck my bottom lip out.

"What are you gonna do about it?" Brian asked. I stood up on my tiptoes and pressed my lips to his. Brian's arms, which had been crossed, wrapped around my waist and pulled me to him. I moved my fingers down to the button of his jeans and quickly pushed them down. Brian helped me get them the rest of the way down, and then he pulled them out of the water and through them to the side with my clothes. Our lips continued to move against each other as I inched his shirt up, and he pulled back so I could take it off.

"Now we're even," I said. I threw his shirt to the side and pushed myself to the other side of the Jacuzzi. Brian stayed standing in the same spot with a confused look on his face.

"What just happened?" Brian asked. I just shrugged and smiled over at him. Brian shook his head, turned around and grabbed something, and then came to where I was. He sunk down beside me, so that we were eye-level, and handed me a glass. I peered inside, and I felt a grin split my face.

"You made me a margarita!" I yelled and threw my arms around his neck. Brian took the opportunity to pull me into his lap, and I settled in his lap sideways. I took a sip of my margarita and smiled at the familiar taste. Brian had a beer in one hand, and the other one was wrapped tightly around my waist. I dropped my head to his shoulder, took another sip of my drink, and sighed.

"I've missed this," I said.

"What? Your margaritas?" Brian asked. I gave him a light smack on the chest, and then took another sip.

"No, this. You and me, alone together," I said. I loved touring, and I loved all of the girls and the guys, but being alone was nice sometimes.

"Yeah, I miss it sometimes too," Brian said and leaned his head against mine. His other hand was now beer-less, so I put my glass down to play with his fingers.

"What do you think everyone else is doing right now?" I asked.

"Probably the same thing we're doing. Just enjoying being alone. Relaxing," Brian said. I turned his hand over and started tracing the lines on his palm.

"Do you ever wonder how things would be if everything had turned out different?" I asked. I looked up at him and saw confusion clouding his eyes.

"Different how?" he asked.

"If neither of us had made it big, or if only one of us had," I said. It was something I thought about every once in a while, but I had never asked anyone.

"I don't know. I guess I never really thought about it," Brian said. He stared off into space and he looked deep in thought.

"Do you think there would still be an us?" I asked quietly. Brian's eyes quickly found mine, and he smiled.

"Yeah. No matter how anything turns out, there will always be an us. We were made for each other, and I'd be lost without my Lusty," Brian said and kissed the top of my head.

"And I'd be lost without my Synyster," I said and kissed the underside of his jaw.

"Now, no more questions," Brian said and lowered his lips to mine.
