Cause I'm Five Minutes Older

I breathed in and out fixing my outfit (a white mini dress and black vest over white leggings and knee-hi black converse). I don’t know why I expected this to be easy. I was foolish. So stupid. Come on Abbi calm down. You can do this. A knock rang from my door. I walked over and looked through the peep hole and saw David standing there waiting. I took one more deep breath and then opened the door.
“Hi Dav-” Before I could say anything else his hand slid off from where it was holding him up against the door frame slipped and he went toppling to the floor. “Are you okay?” I asked. He popped back up quicker than he fell.
“Of course. Abbi you look amazing.” He seemed sincere. I think that just made me nervous, more worried. I just couldn't figure out if it was worth it. Kayden tried some horrible things. He was terrible, but he was so nice at first. Maybe David will be different. I half smiled.
"You too." I spoke softly. He smiled widely. "Let's go." I shut my door behind me and started toward the elevators. Before we made it he took my hand into his. Warm energy flooded me. I smiled bigger. We got into the elevator and out the back doors of the hotel. They like the front ones were crowded with paparazzi. We faced them together.
"Are you two together now?" Followed by clicks from cameras.
"Abbi, does you family know?" More clicking. And a beep from my car finder. The head lights flickered.
"Does your mom approve?"
"What character will you be playing on Wizards?" We made it to my car.
"Who got you the car?"
"Who's Kayden?" I slammed the door behind me. That was it. They hit a nerve. David got in looking kinda angry.
"Who is Kayden? Another boyfriend?" He almost screamed. I put the keys in the ignition and started the car.
"I can't talk about this here." I pulled out of my spot super fast and then out of the parking lot. I said nothing as we drove. We drove until I stopped at a little diner in New Jersey. I got out and stormed in to the diner, I knew it well. I sat in a booth. Eilena the owner a family friend came in.
"Honey, are you okay?" She asked. David came in and angerly plopped in the seat across from me. "Is this boy giving you problems, Abbi?" I shook my head.
"We just need to talk." I answered her. She nodded and stepped away leaving us here. "I am deeply sorry I hadn't told you about it before. I don't like to talk about it. Not to anyone. K... Kayden was my boyfriend."
"Did he die?" David asked getting his hopes up a little.
