I like this article a lot because I personally swear by Ross and TJ Maxx, but I'd actually recommend going to higher end thrifts like Plato's Closet that sells Hollister jeans for like $15 and very lightly worn. I'd also take Forever 21 out of the inexpensive store list because a lot of their clothes are cheap for what the article of clothing is. I'd put H&M instead because it's actually really expensive minus sneakers and select pieces. Also, I'd splurge more on basics since you'll get more use out of them but Walmart does sell pretty good quality Hanes basics and tees and thrifting is another fantastic way to get more bang for your buck. Love the article, it's great to see more articles that're useful for a younger demographic that helps with day to day life! :)

Fantastic article. So many people act like the only way to look good is to spend hundreds of dollars on every outfit, and completely forget about all the ways they can save.

But don't forget about thrift stores! A lot of the clothes can be shapeless, worn out, or just generally not worth buying, but there are gems all over the place. I've gotten some of my favorite clothes for $5 there, and a really nice dress that would have cost hundreds elsewhere.

This is a great article - I freaking love Marshalls, they just have the cutest things ever, so long as you look for them!

I work at TJ Maxx, and honestly, it's the BEST place to get clothing. Our clothing is dirt cheap and I'm putting out new Ralph Lauren shirts every day. I have some of the nicest clothing from my store. It really is a smart place to shop.

Smart article. I really like the tips and tricks.

Another really cool way to get good quality inexpensive clothes is thrift shopping - especially when it comes to more solid pieces like jeans and coats, and even accessories like shoes, jewelry, and bags/purses.
