Those nails look amazing! I like how you have such detailed instructions because those work best with me.

Also instead of tape, which can still let the colors stain your skin if you don't put it on carefully enough, you can also use Vaseline or petroleum jelly. Just rub it around your finger nail to about halfway down your finger and the. Wipe it off once you're done marbleing and it makes clean up super easy.

I love the style of it which is why I had to do a tutorial. Just two colours looks really good, too many can be over powering.

I've done this but always called it marble-ing also. It looks good even if you're not going for tie-dye. Also, I've only done it with two colors.

I've heard of that name for it as well, I think the tie-dye name is more recent actually. Oh, I bet that looked awesome with greens:) I might try that with a yellow base coat!

    @ Aris.
I'll have to test it tomorrow as I'm at my dads house and I lack nail polish here, but I've got all of those colours at my mums house so I can attempt it then.

To stop it staining your skin just put on the tape very carefully and make sure you cover every part of your finger that will go in the water. I have heard that Vaseline and olive oil are also good to stop the nail polish getting on your fingers but I haven't tried it yet.

Plain nail polishes do work the best without any fancy glosses or anything like that, and glitter is a bit of a best too. I've never actually heard of sun dependant nail polish so I'm not sure how it'll work XD I can check it out for you though:)

I've done this before, although the directions I used called it 'marble-ing', but I used two different kind of greens and looked really good.

That would be lovely (: I'm a little worried about black nail vanish staining my skin if it does get on it.

I have a green but it's sun dependant - as in it changes colour. Not so sure if that would be a good choice?

It should do:) I can test it for you then tell you how well it works if you like? I would worry that the black would be quite strong so try to use less than that the other colours.
