    @annaaust
    I'm fine with how I responded, thanks. I find using poignant words gets the point across just as well. And sorry, but I don't feel I was being "petty."

    To be fair, it was one word in an entire comment ("annoying", how shocking) that everyone seems to be using as proof of an apparently negative tone of the whole comment. Very weird, because, um, I think I wrote it, and um, actually I wasn't being negative.

    Rude is rude. I was not rude, nor petty, but now the leap to assumptions and misguided suggestions for bettering my absolutely fine comment are annoying me. Be a little more thick-skinned. "Annoying" is not an attack, nor is it a part of a rude or scathing review. It was an opinion, like anything else, and because of it being a little more "out there" (except not really) it's probably something one would pay attention to more so than a sugar-coated "Be mindful" type suggestion.

    Is everyone done being up in arms over the word "annoying" now?

    When offering construcive criticism, make it cosntrucive and helpful but avoid being petty. A better way to guide this writer may have been " Be mindful of overusing words and phrases" rather than " but the annoying use of "shall".

    Thank you for the writing tips, I do appreciate them but I found your first comment a little insulting.

    Sorry, but, you know, most people who post articles appreciate constructive criticism for the sake of bettering their writing.

    To be honest, I don't write articles so I didn't notice the whole "shall" thing. I chose to write this because I've really gotten into op shopping and I don't really care about the messiness of the article, I'm pretty happy with it.

    Cool topic, but the annoying use of "shall" and the odd throw-in comments like "Seen the movie Wild Child? The girls in Wild Child shop at a cancer research charity store." seemed out of place and made the whole article seem messy.

    Still, you had some pretty useful tips so thanks!

    Wow thanks for sharing! Especially considering that now a days people get sucked in by brands. During the summer going to a couple of brand name shops I found clothes that looked older and more tattered than if they were second hand! And that stuff wasn't even cheap. haha
