v It's the salicylic acid that has the effect, as I explained in the tutorial, as it is the same active ingredient as most acne washs and gels. Salicylic acid is an anti-inflammatory medication. There are numerous other aspirin acne masks that use water in place of lemon juice, and they work just the same, so it is the aspirin, not the lemon juice. The lemon juice just has added benefits for skin.

I took a class in college last year that explored the science behind a lot of these at-home remedies, which is where I got this and the other at-home beauty treatments I've posted. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about, considering I'm going to school for medicine, so I don't appreciate people being condescending towards me.

Interesting, I admit, but it sounds slightly... harsh? I may give it a try, though. I suspect as lemon juice is acidic, that is the substance that has more effect than aspirin. Aspirin has adverse effects if too much is taken, and skin will absorb it.

Personally I recommend turmeric to anyone with bad breakouts or anyone who wants to even their skin tone. A face mask with that spice and you'll be clean in no time.

I'm allergic to asprin but I don't know if it will affect my skin in a bad way... I guess I'd be okay as long as I don't swallow it. I wanna try it but I'm slightly worried
