This is a nice tutorial, I never thought of the mirror advice, actually, I never heard it before. The smile is what I grew up with, my mom told me never to frown, so I always smiled, and whenever I see someone I know, they would always ask, "Why do you smile all the time?"

And I answer, "What? You want me to frown for nothing all day?"

Lol, but this was a nice article, as for the body shape, I'm not so sure about it, but I know I do need to shape up a bit.

I'm more of a pear shape I guess.

i was skeptical when i saw this tutorial; how does one simply /learn/ to be more confident? this is coming from someone with a history of low self esteem issues. this article was well worth the read, and i'm SO glad that i read it. i highly recommend it to anyone that needs a little boost of confidence.

My #1 confidence trick is definitely SMILE!
NOTHING says confident like a big, beautiful smile!!!
It shows people that you feel good about yourself and that my lovelies is the key(: Cool

wow that's so weird that i've never heard of it. i suppose there's a lot of different variations within the shapes, you could describe yourself as slender with a bust or consider your shoulders in the shaping...i can't believe i haven't heard of it!

    @ hello love.
aha not quite (; the banana shape has a lot of different 'types' of banana - the most obvious having no hips, bust and being very petite, bu not necessarily skinny.

I'm a banana shape and I have no hips ): But I do have a bust, so I'm a misshapen banana or something aha, though defiantly not an apple.

Try googling it c: There's a site where you type in your measurements and it comes up with your body shape, banana and pear seem to be the most common (':

thanks :D i struggled with a lot of self-harm and depression when i was younger (of course, the depression was mostly hereditary) and over the years i stopped hating myself and started to appreciate what i did like about myself. a lot of people around me noticed changes in me and i helped a lot of friends, i thought i might branch out!

thank you! i wasn't even planning to describe the body shapes in detail, that was a last minute addition...but out of curiosity, WHAT do banana shaped women look like?! i have never heard of it! i suppose it would be the slender type, with a small bust, narrow shoulders and hips? or a bendy neck and backwards knees to create a banana 'c' shape?!

Aha, this article was really nice, but nothing I haven't heard before. Very energetic approach, though, made me smile (:

I also noticed you didn't mention 'banana' shaped women, which is actually the most common and least talked about, for some reason (':

I absolutely adored this article! I used to struggle with self esteem and confidence but I finally around the age 13-14 found out that I love myself and I am happy with myself. I started focusing on the things that I liked about myself, not what I didn't like. Thank you so much for this article and I am definitely recommending it to my friends.

Oh and of course, if I had the beauty of Beyonce (and her ass and legs haha) I would TOTALLY be confident! haha! Very Happy

This came at a darn good time for me, actually. Thanks for posting the tutorial. I'm definitely going to try to follow some of that advice. Like the thing about mirrors sounds like a really good idea, and I've never even heard it before. So nice tutorial. :)
