'Some people just simply chose it, others are experimenting.' This was the part that got me a bit. Haven't we already - tolerant people anyway - decided that homosexuality is not a choice but something you're born as? Could have been phrased better.

Also, I agree with the person below - though the first theory is plausible in a way, the second has very serious flaws.

However, I did like the controversial air of this article. I think it could definitely be written better, and opinions have no place in a scientific article, but otherwise, I commend your courage posting something like this on a website where the majority - myself included - are very for gay rights. But it's quite easy to see you've offended a few members.

ha ha, i found this pretty funny, cause this doesnt even seemed based on something actual. the first reason sounds possible, but the second one... i dont know, it could happen, but i wouldnt put my money on the second theory.
it'd be interesting to see why lesbians are lesbains "scientifically".... not even sure if i spelled that right.

I can see your point. But I do have to say what does happen to lesbians then? The mother is too touchy feely around her friends? I don't get it in someways but I do in others. It's like a lesbian having a child, it doesn't mean that the child will be gay or straight. I think it's more of a personality thing. Well not personality but ugh, I really can't explain.

But didn't she say that these aren't the only reasons anyway? :shifty

And I think she was only referring to men, not women too.

Okay, since you've decided to undertake the task of defending this article, would YOU like to explain to us what happens with lesbians? There are holes in this information, point blank. Don't try and deny it.

"A little too feminine"...?

I don't think either of these have anything to do with it.

I didn't think this was very well written to be honest. Because it was such a science-ey article you shouldn't have reffered to yourself and a lot of people won't know what the XX and XY chromosomes are.

As for the "normal man" thing, I'm sure she's referring to the average (what would Mibbians call it? Oh, yes! I remember now!) stereotype of men. You know, tough and strong.

I'm kind of concerned that you guys didn't grasp that.

Just_call_me_dookie, as a matter of fact, the grammar in this article is very well executed. Sure, there were some repetitions in there, but overall, this article was written much better than the majority of articles on here.

I think it's obvious this is in the wrong place. You guys have stated it a few times; there's no need to point it out yet again. It's a simple mistake.

Never heard of this but it's pretty interesting.
Though I think this belongs more in the articles section than the news.

I'm sorry... a woman who has many children has a "man loving" gene that makes her sons gay? And antibodies attacking the Y gene make it weaker and cause homosexuality?

I have never heard about this before. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'd be very interested in seeing your sources? It'd be great if you could drop me a comment or something.

What about lesbians? o.O

This is a poorly written ARTICLE. The grammar is very screwy. It's posted in the wrong place. And to be honest it's not very informative and you did not prove where you got this information.

Interesting article, although I think it belonged in the article section, not the news section. (And now I want to know how lesbians are formed. *shifty*)

Also, I realize you didn't mean it, but "This can lead to some changes and perhaps cause the child to not have the masculinity as a normal man."? Ouch. Way to say gay people aren't normal. T_T

Wow, that's cool! I had heard a little something about the linking genes to homosexuality, but nothing about the body attacking the y chromosome.
