TAI's '...' is because they used to be called 'The Academy', but another band by the same name tried to sue them, so they got all their merch and wrote 'Is...' on it in marker pen so they would avoid the court case. Hope that un-confuses you a little.

I agree with chrissers. The article had some thought into it, but it didn't make a point.

I've been in some bands, the names were good at the moment (now they sound all poppy). my last band was called Grant An Existence, a line from a poem from one of the members and a good friend of mine. My side project is called The Carma Effect, after my nick name.

All in all, the name is just to identify the band, a form of representation, it doesn't really matter.

Who cares if the name is "memorable" if the music sucks?

This article was well written, but I don't really see the point of it. Maybe it's because I don't pay much attention to a band's name.

Besides, Black Moth Super Rainbow > every other band name out there.

My (soon-to-be) band's name is Musings Of The Mindless. I don't know how I came up with it. XD

Nice. I liked it.

And to answer your article, White Noise > MINE! (And claire's)
I love it. And I'm doing all I can to get it out there so no one takes it. XD

Other than that we had: Blue Monday > Original, I know. *sigh* and then SEvEN_DAYS

But White Noise is number one.

Mine aren't that bad....I hope.
