I know he is the president but come on I really do not care about the presidents dog. i could have gone the rest of my life not knowing the president had a dog.May 10th, 2009 at 11:10pm

yes the puppy is adorable but there are more important things for the news to be covering. i love animals and all but shouldn't the press be more focused on what he's doing for the country than getting a puppy?
sorry, it's just annoying for the press to be so into this.April 25th, 2009 at 02:55am -

i don't want to sound racist, but...
why does every single move he makes go down in the news?
next thing you know.... "Obama Running in the Beach."
i don't have anything against him, but people have got to treat him less like a celebrity, and more like a president...April 15th, 2009 at 06:39am -

Eagle:He was going to get one from the pound, but his daughter Malia is allergic to most dog types, so they were unable to do so. That's why they're donating money instead.
This is cute. It's a nice change to all of the horrible news at themoment.April 14th, 2009 at 06:07pm -

I thought he said he was going to get one from the pound?

Aah, some normal news. [: Honestly, I was beginning to think that it was illegal to have news that WASN'T about war/riots/bombings/murders/rapes/etc. Thanks for this article!April 13th, 2009 at 06:00pm

I like that there's some nice, fun news.
Obama's a family person and he feels that's important, right? So what's so bad about hearing about that, too? I'd rather hear about him doing something nice with his family and kids than just hearing about his work.
Oh, and @Grawr!, we live in the biggest age of media exposure ever. It's not all going to the textbooks, honey.April 13th, 2009 at 12:50pm -
I'm with theheartoflife. It just sickened me when the news began to talk about his puppy hunt. There are far more important things to talk about.April 13th, 2009 at 10:16am

I pretty much agree with a comment above. Obama is being treated like a celebrity, hes the president! I support Obama but, now its just too much of a more 'celebrity attitude' than more of a professional attitude. Sure, it's cute they got a dog but christ, focus on soemthing else! I won't be surprised if tomorrow CNN's front page is Obama with the dog >:/April 13th, 2009 at 06:55am

Shouldn't the news be focusing on other stuff, not this. It's not that important. Future text books probably aren't gonna have this in them.April 13th, 2009 at 06:16am

Yeah, not all news has to be bad.
This made me feel allllllll warm and fuzzy insideApril 13th, 2009 at 05:32am -
TO dear AllyAttacks: it's things like these that take our minds off the crisis. If we focus on the bad, how can we believe there's any good?April 13th, 2009 at 05:31am

i like how he's donating to shelters.
