People have killed the peace sign. I find that highly ironic.
Good article, by the way. It was really quite informative. :DJune 1st, 2009 at 09:53am -
I'll admit; I hate wearing peace signs.
Yes, I believe in peace (though, I'll never turn down watching a fair catfight... don't act like you don't. jaykaykinda.) buuuut... it just looks like clutter to me.
But if those who believe want to wear it, no matter. ^^May 31st, 2009 at 04:10am -
it's annoying. seeing bitchey spoiled bratty kids on the street covered in peace pisses me off. they aren't peaceful and don't know why it's so popular. Peace is more popular because it's the 40th anniversary of Woodstock. When people who listen to rap and pop are wearing stuff that comes from a rock/hippie music festival that's old and out of style, it offends me.May 31st, 2009 at 01:42am

I find it annoying.
I used to like the peace symbol. But now society has killed it, just like they do with everything else...May 30th, 2009 at 11:55pm -
What I dislike about this new fad is then the people who wear the peace shirts, talk about beating the ___ out of people. It annoys me that people don't really seem to remember what they say they are supporting, and the fast that the companies who get this money, do so simply because peace is a fad now. I'm glad you said the origin of the symbol, I admit I only recently discovered it (say a year or so ago), but it doesn't seem like anyone else knows the origin anymore. :(May 30th, 2009 at 11:23pm

i don't think it matters as long as you believe in what you're wearing if you don't believe in that then you're a hypocrite.May 30th, 2009 at 09:36pm
They also thought it could be a duck foot, which lead to some cult related issues. And they also thought that it was an upsidedown bare tree, as an insignia for eco-terrorist groups.
It did start out as the Nuclear Disarmment symbol.
