... I'm going to be in denial for a while, because this man was just plain immortal to me. He is like the Elvis of our time. He's had such an influence on music today. I don't even know what else to say.

RIP, MJ.

I can't believe he's gone. He was a true legend in the music industry, many famous artists today said Michael Jackson was their inspiration, and i believe them. Listening to him sing and dance, always earsed my sad thoughts and made me dance and sing all night and day.
I am truly sad by this tragic event. I hope Michael rests in peace so he can see from above that he was truly loved by millions of people. My prayers and thoughts go to the Jackson family and MJ's children.

R.I.P Michael Jackson. I love you and I will miss you terribly. May you rest with the angels, you will be missed.

He may have been a controversial figure, but he truly changed music as we know it today and his songs have touched millions. He will be missed.

I was in total shock when I heard the news on MTV—especially when the guy just said "It is confirmed, Michael Jackson has died." Still today, it's hard to believe. =(

To those saying 'because he has died people like him again' that's because people don't want to focus on the bad things anymore.

Think about it, it's not nice for anyone to die and even if people did dislike him before because of what they believed they can not deny that he was a good musician, a genius even. People who disliked him are mourning him for the music he made not because they thought he was crazy before he died. He was a part of everyones lives whether they liked it or not and so it's natural that they want to respect that.
They want to focus on the fact that we have lost a musical genius.

although i'm not a fan, i think it's sad that he died. because whether you liked him or not, you would have to admit he was very famous and a lot of people liked him before all the scandels started.

Jeffrey Dahmer, Yeah, I always had this thought in my head like he'd never die. It's a very strange feeling when such an icon dies. I was never a huge fan, but I respected the guy for what he did for the music world. He wa amazing in that sense.
I cried when I found out he died, though even I am not sure why.
It's such a strange thing.
=/
RIP always.

I don't see the big deal, really. I mean, yeah, it's sad to see a human life end, but it happens all the time.

I wasn't a fan. I'll just leave it at that.

Okay no one can deny that the guy was weird. Quite weird. But he was an amazingly talented musician who inspired so many. I was really shocked when i heard about his death. I really am pretty upset about it. i've loved his music since i was a little kid. And it's gonna be weird not turning on the news randomly and hearing some crazy thing he's done. He will truly be missed.

RIP Michael Jackson

Yes, I thought he was crazy and gross. But his music was so amazing, he changed everything music stood for. Although I'm not heartbroke because of his death, my heart does go out for his children.

Induced Affliction: I utterly agree with you. I've been a huge fan of his for years, and now that he's dead everyone likes him again. The media is playing all of his videos, and a year ago the considered him a freak.

It actually does make me pretty angry, yeah.

not to be rude or anything but this is getting me sick.

when he was alive, people attacked him, calling him pedofile and what not.

now he's dead and everyone mourns?

explain please.
