I love the new name. Its like a reawakening of an old sound. To me its like they're saying "It's in our blood but we're going to switch it up and make it young again." Musical reincarnation? Change is amazing. New Perspective is too. Its like both songs are speaking of change in a new way. Thinking differently.
I'm happy.

Okay.

So I love the name, The Young Veins. It's cool.

The song is nice. It's a good song, and I do like it. It has a nice beat, the vocals are a little weak but it's fitting to the style. However, I agree with the others--it does sound a lot like The Beatles and The Kinks, a little too much.

Now, it's fine to be influenced by a band, and the Beatles were very innovative in the music industry. I will admit, I like them myself. But The Young Veins shouldn't try to copy The Beatles, they should be developing their own style. It's okay to be influenced by them, just don't rip them off.

I wish the best of luck to them, and I hope that they stop listening to albums from 1969 and start trying to be themselves.

I don't think it really matters if they are trying to sound like The Beatles.
The Beatles were a great band, and were in a time of great music.
We need another band like them, and I think The Young Veins will be excellent.
I'm already starting their fanclub!

'New Perspective' is pretty good, but 'Change' sounds a bit too Beatles-ish for my tastes

New Perspective sounds good but I like the sound of Oh Glory better. "Change" isn't really the type of thing I listen to and I agree that it sounds like Messrs Ross and Walker are trying to copy the Beatles a little too much.

There was a comment on MySpace that cracked me up though:

"Ryan, you're a good musician, JUST GIVE THE MICROPHONE TO JON. If I wanted to hear a Kinks/Beatles tribute band with a drunk consumption-afflicted sloth for a frontman, I'd just walk around the zoo with one earbud in, and Jon's voice is suited to this type of thing, anyways"

I adore 'Change' and 'New Perspective', and hopefully both albums will be just as brilliant. (:

I did think it was a little strange how they both released their singles on the same day, but like you say, maybe it was planned that way.

I'm not really a fan of 'Change'. It sounds too much like Jon and Ryan are trying to impersonate The Beatles.

I do like New Perspective a lot, though. It's very catching and i love the lyricssss :]

Oh man. That's sad. Well well, it's nice that at least that they're making a new band though, I hope they sound good:)
