Its rich when people are like "Oh yeah, Im their biggest fan and alex will love me"
I mean, first of all, there is always going to be someone who loves them a little more than you. Also; Alex is in a committed relationship with a girl named Lisa (and quite frankly they're adorable) so...i dont think he's falling in love with you any time soon.

i totally agree, alex has even said he had enjoyed the band life, and the weightless music video totally explains what they are thinking, good job!

Whatever happened to just loving the music and not "claiming" the band as yours and arguing on who's known them longer? I've been a fan for a while now, yea, they've changed since the first time I've heard them. But they're still amazing! I'm not mad or think their "sell outs" just cause they have a bigger fan base now and can't communicate with all, I'm happy. Those boys deserve it, and their amazing!

Holly, would you turn me on? was written as a pun for “Hollywood.

^ First of all.... DUH. That was obvious. Fans arent stupid. We got this. And didn't need Alex's confirmation. So what exactly is your point.

Secondly, these All Time Low sell-out vs gained popularity article have GOT to stop. Goodness.
Sigh.

How old are the boys in this band?
22/23...?
Of course their going to be cocky, of course their going to be jerks and somewhat seem their taking this lifestyle for granted.
I agree with everything you said, I have been dealing with the same annoyance toward "original" or "real" fans of my favorite bands for quite some time.
Their not sellouts just because some kids decide that their music is actually good.
Sure, a few of the new fans are only fantasizing about their famous appeal and the sudden name-drop they have become, but otherwise, is it an offense to become a fan so recently?
I think not.
Good article (:

I agree with you 100%.
If you want to use the term "selling out" with any of these bands,
you must be talking about their concert tickets.

I like the band.

I think that's all that matters. Whether you like them or not. It's kind of stupid to argue about whether they're selling out or not. They're just people, like you and me, trying to do their jobs. Its like if you were trying to get a raise at work. Them getting a larger fan base is like them getting a raise.

People should just calm down.

I'm a little tired of the whole 'selling-out' thing. Most "fans" have gotten over themselves by now. It seems to me that this is what happened:
In the time between So Wrong, It's Right and Nothing Personal, they gained more fans, due to this, when NP came out, everyone bought it around the same time, therefore, making it seem like they actually have more fans than they do.

And if they changed their music so that they weren't as popular, no one would hagve accused them of selling out. But just because their music gained them a larger fan base, they are now ofcourse "selling out"

xx

This article speaks the truth. People are going to change a little bit when you thrust them into the spotlight. True, all Alex has really wanted was to be heard, and he's being heard now. Legions of fans adore him, and he knows this now. I think all that is going on is that he's very aware of it and doing what any person would to in that type of situation: HE IS ENJOYING IT.

I agree that it isn't fair to say that All Time Low is selling out, when so many people have different definitions of selling out. Some people completely ditch a band the second they become popular, which is not what selling out means legitimately. I don't think Alex has really changed, or become a jerk, or doesn't like the fans anymore. I think what's going on plainly is that Alex is trying to adjust to all this attention. We know that he can't stop for every fan now (no matter how much he may want to), and, hell, those Busty Bandsluts are fans to (no matter how much they want him to pork them). And in all actuality, ATL still hasn't reached that immense stardom yet, and for all we know, they might never reach that at all, but I think a lot of fans are learning who All Time Low is as a band as they evolve as people and musicians.

Like you said, the band isn't selling out. They're just gaining popularity. Those are, in ho way, shape, or form, the same thing. Thank you, sweetheart; this defensive article made my day.

They never changed. Maybe as a person Alex changed or Rian changed, humans change and evolve. Maybe their music is different than what it was but they never left. The old Alex and the new Alex aren't different people.

Jalex Barakarth said it perfectly. They haven't changed at all, just their music has become a little more pop.
