I was a PC owner about five years ago... went Mac and will never, ever go back! I love everything Apple. It may be expensive but it's so worth it.

I was a Mac person up until a while ago. I don't think PCs are superior to Macs, but at the same time I prefer PCs. It just depends what OS system you prefer - and whilst I really like Snow Leopard, I don't like how it can't be modded to suit my needs. I also don't like the Microsoft Office for MAC, and find it very frustrating to follow tutorials set by my professors who assume everyone has a PC and no one owns a Mac.

Apple's fault? Nope. But in 20 years when Apple has a monopoly over the computer market (as they did in the 80s) I'll be a "Mac person" once again, as it will be easier to use and not have to switch between both OS.

Saying that though, the Macbooks have AMAZING functions (especially the trackpad, the most amazing thing I've ever used on a computer)

Yeah but, for the price, PCs are so much better. I can get an amazing PC for the same price as a dodgy-not-worth-it Mac. So many more things I use are compatible with PC, too. There's a reason more people in the world use PCs than Macs...

And all PCs don't run slowly and don't constantly need fixing. My PC runs perfectly because it's got a decent processor and memory. Of course any computer that isn't up to scratch is going to have problems and be slow depending on how demanding the programs you're using are. Personally, my laptop literally never lags or freezes, and I'm always doing digital work or playing games on it.

I really don't get the Mac elitism. I've come across it a lot in uni, and it annoys me to hell. The only good thing to me about Macs is the lack of viruses - and even then, it's easily avoided on a PC if you're smart about it.

I found that after five minutes of using a Mac, I forever hated PC. And now I'm still using this one. -___-

As someone who does a lot of graphic art, Macs are a million times better for that stuff.

I love my mac... i Just hate how hard it is to find free compatible software I got used to having on a PC. They're pricey and I've had to replace my harddrive twice in two years on my mac but even with those problems it works better than the PCs i've used and its just overall higher quality

I like my PC Shifty My policy is I go Apple for techy toys like my iPod, and PC/Windows for my actual laptops.
My previous experience with Macs is that they work well, but they're really more of a toy to mess around with then something to do serious work on.
And all the good editing programs are native to Windows File

I have a Dell Alienware laptop and I absolutely love it. It isn't made of cheap plastic and runs so beautifully, especially for my gaming purposes. I've never tried a Mac, but I don't have issues with viruses and spyware. I did with my old laptop, and that was before I learned that my spyware protection I was paying for was crappy (Norton's).

This was well written, but I agree with Ariveria by saying it sounded like an ad for Macs.

I have used both Macs and PC's, and I have to say I prefer my PC over a Mac. They have Macs in our computer labs, but I just don't like using them. I find the PC easier to use and mine is fairly fast.

I did like this article, though, and I can see where you're coming from, but I guess it's a matter of personal preference :)

Wonderful article. It sounded a bit too much like an ad, but it was still very-well written and informative. :)
My entire family is Mac-exclusive, and it's wonderful. The computers never crash, there is no such thing as viruses, and it all runs very smoothly. My friends all hate Macs, but I'm like... I hope you realize, as you sit there and angst about how your anti-virus software failed you (again) and your laptop is breaking (again) and you have to pay all this money to get it fixed (again) and none of your programs were working right anyway (again), I've got a 10-year-old Mac laptop, and the only problem it has is a battery that can't hold a charge, which is only a problem because the chargers aren't being made anymore, and only came about because it's ridiculously old, for a laptop.
Point proven. And why do they hate Macs? The world will never know.
