    Sounds like she's going through the 5 stages of Grief/Loss that some people (myself included) went through when we got our diagnosis. She seems to be in the anger stage, but hopefully she'll get through the rest of the stages and understand that Bipolar doesn't change who she is really, it just makes her more unique.

    Very well written article. I have an aunt with bipolar disorder (not sure which type exactly) and she has medication for it.
    She became absorbed in self-loathing when she found out she had it; I hope she'll eventually not be as consumed by
    it, she's really lovely.

    Thank you. I was actually worried about that paragraph, I didn't want people to think this was like an article about someone who disliked themselves for their condition, but decided to keep it in.
