Atheism isn't a religion.

Wow. I didn't know.
If this country's so about diversity nowadays, which it's not, maybe they should take "Under God" out of it and quit arguing about it with their non-facts, because not everyone is the same religion.

I don't say the pledge of allegiance for that reason.
I believe in god, but the whole thing is a bunch of lies. If this nation was under god then the USA wouldn't be as fu*ked up as it is. The whole government is not under god. They say serve your country, but if you under god you should only serve him. The government is just a big a*s fu*ked up war starters!!!

I think we should change it anyway. Not everyone believes in God you know.

I think that the people who believe in God should be able to have those elements stay put in our pledges and constitution. God was, is and always will be one of America's defining strengths. Atheism is also a religeon of a kind because it is a belief, and by taking that out, you are only supporting another religeon.

I didn't know that. good article.

I honestly would get confused if they changed it. I would automatically say the Pledge of Allegiance with "Under God" even if they changed it to where Under God"
wasn't in the pledge. I've said it so many times, that it would be hard not to say it. If they do change it, it will take some people a while to get accustomed to saying it like that. Some people won't say the pledge without "Under God" even if it's not supposed to be in there. Or they'll just say it even if it isn't supposed to be there.

Sorry, I was rambling about it.

Good article

I did not know that it had been written differently. I actually didn't have a problem with it until just now. I like the original much better, no mention of God.
Nice article Dru.
