i hate how people dress up their dog so their outfits match a used to have a small dog he had two sweaters which he loved very much. One was a spongebob and the other was blue and when we took him out in the winter he would walk over to the place where we kept them and just wait for his sweater. But in the spring and summer he never wore them cause we didn't want him to get hot. Doggy clothes should only be put on a dog when it's cold or raining and they should be the right size and made for dogs

There's nothing wrong with poodles, srsly. I own one, a toy poodle. Geez you say you love animals and then you say something rude about poodle owners.. But I think that dressing up an animal is OK if the animal isn't in any pain or uncomfortable and is not dressed too much. My dog only gets dressed up for Halloween and sometimes Christmas, that's usualy it. (This year my dog is going to be a pirate, she's wearing this cute plain black and orange dress thing with a skull and cross bones on the back :p) When I take my dog out in the rain I'm uaually wearing a jacket so I'll wrap her in my jacket while I carry her. My dog doesn't go out in the snow because she lived in Texas for most of her life, she's not used to snow.

Thats terrible. I hate people who put clothes and shit on their pets(dogs)
I bet they feel like fools, all dressed up like dolls. If yu wanna dress something up buy a barbie! They dont NEED clothing, they have their fur, and I bet they get pretty damned hot with all their fur AND clothes on. Think about how uncomfortable it must be for them. Clothes are for people and dolls, and shit. So not for animals.

My puppy has a few lightweight, but cute, collars, and I have to get him jackets because he doesn'[t have an undercoat of fur, so he gets colder in the winter. I also have a little purse for him to be carried in, but only to places he has to go. I hate how people only care about their puppies looks and never about what their dog feels, its wrong and mean!

I can understand if it's to keep an animal dry or warm, but a diamond collar? PLEEEEEEASE! If it's a shirt...I GUESS it's OK as long as the animal is happy and comfortable. Just don't be the next Paris Hilton.

My baby loves his shirts, I know this because he actually starts strutting, I also make sure it's the appropriate size and it fits without interfering with his daily rituals like peeing on things. (he's a male it's what they do lol). I believe some people go over board, but when I see cute shirts in the store I buy them for him. He loves 'em. I don't keep a collar on him that's heavy or anything, because it does way down their necks and it also rubs their skin... So if they're indoor dogs, I don't think they really need collars... -kassi

My mom dresses up her chihuahua.I always say I feel sorry for him.
She spoilers that dog and she cares about it more than she dose her own kids!
I always say it's just a dog and he doesn't need that stuff but she says he is her "baby boy".

It is just wrong to dress up pets. But I still want a spiked collar for my future dog....

I don't own a pet, but I still think it really is completely ridiculous to dress them up in sparkly shiny diamond studded collars and such... unless of course it keeps them dry, or it keeps them warm, as long as they're comfortable. But if you bring out your pet for a walk in the winter without anything on, IT MIGHT get cold... domesticated animals differ from wild ones...

    P.S.
who the hell wants to own a poodle?

I own a Hot Dog and a Pitbull and both have extremely thin fur so when winter rolls in I have to put a coat on them to keep'em warm cause where I live winter is horrible. I have horse blanket coats that button in the front then cross under their bellies. For my dog Jazzy I have to have her bundled up because she has arthritis and the cold makes it worst so she wears a size bigger then she is nitted sweater and a horse blanket underneath to keep her warm.

It really bothers me a lot when I see dogs wearing little outfits when its 100 degrees outside. It gets me so mad. Unless the dog has heath problems or its cold or wet outside they don't need to be wearing anything but their collar and leash.

My dog has a waterproof jacket for winter, and it serves it's purpose. But anything else is useless.

I would never dress up any of my pets just so they would look "cute".
It's fine if it's booties to keep their feet warm, or a rainproof sweater, as long as the animal isn't uncomfortable.

I used to give my dog booties for the winter so his little feet wouldn't get cold.

I think that spoiling your pet and loving it and dressing it up is better than leaving it out in the cold and abandoning it. When my old dog was still alive my mom would put baby onsies on him. He loved it. If people love their pets enough to spoil them then I think it's great. When my cat was still alive my aunt knitted him booties to wear outside during the winter {because sometimes he'd want to go outside but his paws would like freeze off}.

I hate how people dress their dogs up like they're people.

My dog just has a huge waterproof coat for winter - it looks pretty awful but it keeps her dry.
