Nice article. I hope people start realizing that what they are doing to these helpless animals are wrong. Of course, we need to look at how we treat each other first: how can we save the animals when we're going down ourselves? Just look at any news network. What's the headline? Human remains found. Husband poisoned wife. Woman hires asassin to kill husband. If we can't respect our own lives, how can we respect the lives of another species?

Any kind of animal abuse or neglect is just completely wrong.
The beginning about the dogs being tied up and left outside reminded me of when my parents were putting in our fence. They were digging places for posts. My dad had found a collar and one of those post things, he kept digging and he found a bunch of dog bones. They weren't from our pets, trust me. But it was disgusting and cruel. Just wrong.

Animals don't have the right so suffer from their owners personal anger.

Just as children, wives, and husbands should not have to suffer from their parents or spouses abuse.

The fact is that no one is going to be able to stop the abuse.

It's life, as sad as that is.

*eyeroll* Sure, everything deserves life. But not, in my opinion, when I have to compete with it. So sorry, if I'm in the woods and I'm fishing, and some idiot's dog chooses to try to steal my catch, I'm not going to sit and let it take my feed for the day.

Aw I agree completely!! I can't stand people who hurt their pets. I don't understand why people even get a pet and don't treat it properly. It's not safe to treat your pet like royalty, but you shouldn't treat it like dirt either. I get so upset when I see cute little animals being mistreated. It breaks my heart into millions of tiny pieces. =[[[

I don't believe anyone else has mentioned this yet- the title was a fraction confusing. "Animal Abuse is Suffering" almost makes it sound as if you support animal abuse and you were sad that it's going down. That aside, I think you used a few too many rhetorical questions. Other than that, you had a lovely article about an important topic.

I love animals, personally. It's pretty disgusting how people can hurt/kill animals and pretty much get away with it... with little to no punishment. There really should be stricter laws on that sort of thing. >.>

I have three dogs and they're treated like royalty. They have almost everything a dog could want. They' completely spoiled. :]
