The way I see it, if it'd for human beings it should be tested on human beings. Innocent little animals shouldn't have to die just to make people look pretty. And I feel the same for medical testing. The fact is, they ARE animals NOT human beings. No matter how close we may seem, we ARE NOT the same, which means there is a chance that the effects can be different.

hey E-mo-tion, animal testing is NOT rare and it would not be risking your heath. make up is not required by law to have animal testing they just do it because they can. the companies are required by law to have clinical trials where humans voluntarily test make up and get paid in a comfortably enviroment. humans would not be dropping dead everywhere from makeup! you just sound ignorant when you say this.

I don't like it either, but I'd rather have products tested on animals then on me.

I don't like it either.
Hopefully one day all makeup companies will sell organic products.
But how long would it take before someone's face was severely burned by a foundation not properly tested?

The monkey picture made me want to cry. Poor little baby.

The way you phrased which companies did or didn't test on animals confused me.

I think the same as your point. Even for medical etc, I ever so fully disagree for animals to be tested upon. However, I also disagree for them to be tested on humans, which leaves us with either plants (that, being so distant from us, I suppose wouldn't amount to very accurate results) or no tested remedies at all.
And I don't see either being very widely socially accepted.

The make-up testing I think everyone could 'somehow' survive without. But I think that when it is for medical etc, no goverment or nation will stop testing on animals and/or humans. So I guess the former of the three is currently the one to fight for~

imperfect.

Think of it this way okay? Animals are different than humans, completly so. So even testing it on an an animal has no guarantee its safe for people. Animals and people have different reactions.

I think that most people don't care if what they are wearing was tested on animals.

Frankly, neither do I.

I don't wear make-up but I think that I would rather it be tested on an animal then risk my health.

It's much safer to risk an animals health then have humans dropping dead everywhere because of their make-up.

Besides, animal testing is rare these days.

I know about some medical place that tests on beagels....I forget what it's called though.
and in saphora they have little paw prints next to the makeup when that make up brand DOESN'T test on animals.
it's amazing

Um... Testing cosmetics on animals is very rare nowadays.

And no longer are medical experiments performed monkeys or cats or dogs. They are performed on mice.

I find animal testing for cosmetics to be wrong.
But if it's for medical reasons then I don't really find it to be wrong.

I agree, and I disagree with you.
Yes aminal testing is wrong if its to test lip stick and foundation, thats completly sick but on the other hand, animal testing to find cures for diseases like cancer ect. is not as bad. Sure animals are being tested on but I would rather animals die for a good reason rather than for some shiney red lipstick.
