Finally! I was wondering why my 2 precious babies both died :( I named them Andy and Paulie.

I had gravel in their tanks. I think that's my problem.

I did research on taking care of them when I got them, and I thought they were alright, but apparently not.

    RIP Andy and Paulie <3

Yaaay! Finally someone wrote about hermies- I have twelve- ten purple pinchers and two strawberries. I had them for two years &still going!
But, you forgot to include that there's online shops that sells hermit crab foods like hermitcrabaddiction.net, hermitcrabpatchcom, etc. (I might got the urls wrong..)
And theres this great forum for all your questions, all that jazz- landhermitcrabs.com.

This is a very informative, well-written, and well-organized article. I commend you. :D

This was some good information. I, myself, find any type of crab creepy, but if I hear of anyone wanting to hermit crab, I'll look this up and tell them all about it.

    Good job!

Thank you so much for writing this. I personally have never owned any hermits and probably never will, but as lover of all animals it means a lot to me that people are well informed about the needs of every one of God's creatures.
This was a well written article and I will definitely be sharing the information in it with others.

This is probably the most informative article I've ever read on Mibba.
I'll be sure to refer back to it if we ever get a hermit crab again.

This was very well written and although I probably will never purchase a hermit crab, this would useful to refer friends to who are interested in them. :)

No wonder my sister's hermit crabs never last that long. Expect for this one named Hermy. He lasted two years...

Hm, I'll have to tell about this.

This is great, good on you for putting this up. I used to have hermit crabs, but the pet shop didn't tell me anything about all this stuff, (Surprise surprise, eh?) but I eventually found out after they'd died.

My hermit crab started moulting and my brother thought he had died...so he buried him. Poor Howie. =[
