c'mon, look at they guy! he mightn't be 'goth' or 'emo', but that IS the image he is putting out there, so you can hardley be suprised. If i walk around naked one day, and someone asks me if i'm a nudist, i can hardley be suprised at that. I may not be a nudist, but it is the image i'm putting out there

and even so

get over it. people call other people what they will, it doesnt change who they are or what they stand for, so why is it an issue?

Robert Smith is a legend and the Cure are amazing.
Emo wasn't really as big a thing as it is now so he would never have been called that. People need to put labels on things for convenience and goth was the only one around back then that would in anyway describe him.
It's sad that not enough people of our generation listen to the Cure.

I absolutely adore Robert Smith, but I think "gloom" is a little unfair. You just have to listen to Friday I'm In Love, The Lovecats, Just Like Heaven, Boys Don't Cry, The Caterpillar... oh the list goes on and on and on. Even Treasure isn't gloomy if you listen to it - it's damned beautiful. If you haven't heard it, anyone, I urge you to download it.

My God I'm fangirling.

Okay, anyway, the article was great. I didn't know a lot of those facts and it was cool to read them.

Thank you?

Let's agree that I'll never fangirl again, shall we? :-|

Robert Smith is my hero. He's like a God to me.
But this article has flaws, I'm pretty sure he didn't marry Mary at the age of 14, he met her then, they married quite a few years later.
And Robert is nor 'Goth' or 'emo', he's just Robert, who he's always been.
