This is why I don't like most people because most people have in their heads that it's natural to be skinny. Even my aunt is obessed with being thin and she is already thin by nature.

Honestly, I consider myself overweight (14 years old- 5'1"-130 lbs), and I have tried everything to lose weight; diets, exercise, and disorders. Nothing works.

I agree with you what you said, but, honestly, if you're in high school, it's really hard to deal with this shit. People are constantly telling you you're fat, and your friend might've accidently let it slip that you need to lose a few pounds during an argument/fight. (And even if you know you're not fat, if someone tells you, you can't help but doubt yourself.) I see people getting bashed for this kind of stuff, but I can't really go up and say, 'Hey, stop it, will you?' because the person getting bashed will probably tell me to poke a stick up my ass, or some other insult of the sort.

'Nuff said. (Either way, I really liked your article, and I'm happy to see people are encourgaging others to not get so obsessed with this situation. If only I had people like you at my school, aha.)

Girls are pretty whether they're skinny or overweight, like I am. I value myself as pretty, just as my friends value their beauty.

I'm naturally very tiny, and people always ask me if I'm anerexic. I thinks it's kinda rude to ask people that..

This is so true. My best friend has an obsession with being skinny and it is pretty much killing me to see her be so self conscious around everyone. She doesn't talk to boys or anyone really. She wants to lose forty pounds before high school and it scaring me what she might do. I'm afraid I'm kind of a cause of this obsession because one time she asked me if we could trade bodies.(I'm 5'7 & 105 while she is 5'5 & 165). I wish she and other girls would see they are beautiful the way they are. Nice article by the way.

Weight follows fashion. :file: And how much the country you're in has. So countries like Australia, America and England that are abundant with food, money etc will thrive on being thin. But if we didn't have that everyone would more than likely thrive on having curves etc.
