If you don't believe in something, then why let it have a dramatic effect on you? Sounds like a good point :) Anywho, I personally really liked the article. It's deep, but still easy to read.
A topic leading on from this could be why people who believe one thing can feel the absolute NEED to discredit other people's beliefs and such... Like the parents blaming the bands (the parents probably weren't/aren't fans of the music), or Hitler seeing fit to slaughter Jews.

It's implying that shouldn't be effected by things, mainly harmful, that you don't believe in!
