I know this isn't entirely true but I sometimes just have to swear my parents' divorce was the nastiest in the enitre world. -___-
Even 11 years later I feel like the mature one, and those two are the 14-year-olds.

Some parents just lose the love and it's not fixable.

I haven't really had any experience in divorce, my parents' 'separation' having been really easy and mild compared to what you're saying, but it seems like it could be... agonising.
Not just for parents themselves, but their kids as you said, the friends of their kids, the adults' brothers and sisters (friendships of the mother and the dad's sister etc could be strained after the tearing of a family) adult's parents...

It must be hard to be able to tell if you will be able to live with and compromise for and share trust with a person for the rest of your life, but maybe couples thinking about having children should try out such a lifestyle for a few years, judge if it woudl be successful or not, and then situations like this woudn't happen so commonly?

If we whine how our parents shouldnt get a divorce its very selfish of us. Since we still have both of them, its not really a big deal. If they dont want to be together let them not be together.

Yeah its a shock at first but still think about it. 2 unhappy parents together or 2 happy parents with you still not together

My parents divorced 1 year ago, and it's no big deal to me, really. Maybe that 'sides' thing is a bit annoying, 'cause my mom hates my dad, but everything is just fine for me. Maybe it's because I don't have any siblings, my only pets are cat and fishes, and I can live on macaroni :D
