Facebook Causing You Drama? - Comments
-
-
I don't think the only 2 options are you "make the drama" or "look for it." Sometimes you're involved, sometimes the drama finds you...there's many other ways for drama to enter a person's life via Facebook. I don't understand why you're trying to pinpoint the blame on the reader when perhaps the reader is a victim themselves.May 8th, 2010 at 06:15am

I beg to differ. I don't go looking for drama. I don't like it at all.
And yet I find myself caught up in it, simply because I stand up for myself. Is standing up for myself code for looking for drama? I doubt it.
I am being me, which is what we are all told to do.
And so I firmly believe that, even though there are people who look for drama, drama comes after me.April 30th, 2010 at 09:33am -
Articles have to go through the staff before they are posted. We thank you for your concern, but it has been accepted. I thought this was well written, and entirely true.April 29th, 2010 at 09:32pm

I'm sort of going through something like this right now, and I've just decided to ignore it and let it blow over. Biting back won't make things any better. Even if I'm not the person in the wrong.
I've deactivated on Facebook now. People just misunderstand and assume things are about them when they're not.
I'm just sick of it. D:April 29th, 2010 at 08:57pm -
Yes, it is supposed to be in Journals... read post #9.April 29th, 2010 at 08:57pm

This should be in the journals.
Mostly, I agree with you, but sometimes it isn't even your fault that drama came to you.
It's like your period at times like those. Irritating, inconvenient, and tedious.
I loved the voodoo reference. Lol.April 29th, 2010 at 05:24am -
duude, i get your point, but for me, one time drama came to find me... i didn't look for it... but i ignored it, and it still wouldn't go away... i didn't cause the drama...a traitor did.. (sorry about how im sounding right now.. but im sick of drama)April 29th, 2010 at 04:30am

Irony cause only a few weeks ago I had a massive arguement with one of my best friends because of something I said about her over Facebook. Actually, I hardly realised we were in an arguement because of how inferior the reasoning was. I do think what you say is true. She's not the best of friends and she was looking for drama herself.
But take caution! Remember! Unless you want to pay for it, there is no sarcasm button on the keyboard! Gasp.April 28th, 2010 at 11:33pm -
Yeah, I agree that it is a rant and that it should be in a journal and I was about to write it in a journal. But, I noticed that Mibba is actually going to remove the journal section in the near future and I wanted this to stick around a bit.
I also agree that it is not always easy to avoid drama in ones life since it is almost human nature to cause or be involved in drama in some way. I guess what I was getting at is that if you can't avoid it, don't let it stress you out.April 28th, 2010 at 04:56pm -
Well, sometimes it's not so easy to avoid it. Because sometimes, even if you're not looking for drama, someone else is, and humans have a limit to how much they can ignore it. There is the rare occasion where one may not, in good conscience, just ignore those who will cause them drama, or ignore the situation.
Though most of the time, you're right, and it's very avoidable. And it's definitely not Facebook's fault that drama happens.April 28th, 2010 at 03:15am -
I don't know, I kind of like drama. It makes life interesting. Do I go look for it? Nah. Sometimes people bring drama into their lifes..and they don't even know it until it hits them in the face. And yeah; this should be a journal, but whatever:)April 28th, 2010 at 01:39am

Ironic that this should come up on Mibba as of right now. As of today I actually just lost a very close real life friend of mine because of something that was said on another person's Facebook status. The real irony: The fact that I, myself, am not a Facebook user. I've always preferred MySpace to Facebook. I can see where you're coming from in that it isn't Facebook's fault we lose friends because of stupid things that are stated online. I take responsibility for what happened even though it wasn't I who posted the status update...and that's how it should be looked at. Good article, though I do agree that it should probably be in the journal section. But hey, who cares? I never look at journals anyway. :PApril 28th, 2010 at 01:14am

I agree with two other people; this should be a journal, not an article.April 28th, 2010 at 01:06am

Rants belong on journals
I thought that you would be talking about how facebook is ruining relationships and friendships but instead you only spoke about drama and how to avoid it, which is common sense (some people just lack that part)April 27th, 2010 at 11:53pm -
