I agree with CallusedSilk. Not all people that don't post anything are just posting pics and chatting.

I agree with CallusedSilk, also. I don't think that people should be punished for not writing there own stuff. Plus, I know that I was a silent reader for a long time, both on here and Quizilla, and I would have been highly upset if my account were to have been deleted because I hadn't subscribed or commented any stories.

I like to read completed storied, which I know might be selfish, but there are a few ongoing stories that I read and sometimes I just don't think to subscribe to them. I just recently started commenting on people's writing. I didn't, myself, feel that I knew enough to actually give my opinion to people...

But, that's all just my opinion.

I'm going to be one of the only people to pretty much completely disagree with you on this and I'm disagreeing with you for many reasons.

1.) They may read stuff/subscribe to stuff on the site and until they flat out say they're not reading anything, you can't claim all that they're doing is posting pictures of themselves.

2.) Not everyone is able to or feels comfortable posting their own work. Why push them for it?

3.) Nowhere in the rule has it ever been dictated that you have to post any stories or that you can't post in your about me that you like picture comments so until it's a rule, just stop looking at those profiles.

4.) This is really just you ranting and should be a journal, not an article.

I mean, this site can be a place for people to connect with writers. Also, you're not going to like everyone or everything posted on mibba. It's a fact. In fact, there are plenty of 'stories' that I wish didn't exist, but as they're not breaking any rules, there's not a damn thing I can do about them so I just don't look at them. I don't look at their pages and I move on with my life. I suggest everyone else do the same.

I think they should delete any accounts that aren't following anyone's stories or whatever and haven't posted something on the site within a month. I know one person that isn't posting anything yet but is reading a lot of people stories. I can understand that but not the showcasing and solely chatting and/ or commenting on people's pages and pictures.
You're completely right.

I agree with everything you said.

Though there are some people on here just looking to read other's stories and maybe in the long run make a story or poem or journal.

People join Mibba for various reasons, not just to write, even though it's advertised as a writing website by most people.

Some people just like posting on the forums, others join because they like reading stories and fanfiction, some join because their friends write and they thought it might be cool to join too. Etc.

I understand that people have concerns that Mibba isn't "what it used to be" but websites change and grow all the time. There are some sections of Mibba I can't stand, like the Journal section at the moment, but I just don't go there anymore.

I don't see the point in lashing out at people for having no stories or anything up when their purpose on Mibba isn't what yours is.

I completely agree with this. When I first joined a little over a year ago, I was hoping to read some really awesome stories, beautiful poems, and interesting journals. I was very disenchanted. I've encountered this so many times, it makes me want to cry. Nobody cares about writing anymore. They just want tons of friends or fifteen minutes of virtual fame. It's so sad.

I agree with this. But, some people just get on it to read stories. That was the main reason I joined Mibba. One of my favorite Quizilla writers quit Quzilla and transferred to Mibba, and refused to update on Q anymore. I didn't intend on writing and posting stories; But, as time went one, I wanted to write as much as I wanted to read.

Maybe some people join to READ those stories.
In case if you haven't noticed, most stories are only visible to members.
I'm not against your article, because in a way, I do agree.

although I agree wholeheartedly, some people mightn't be as confident with their writing and prefer to read and subscribe. you really shouldn't be so hard on them but people who use chatspeak, refer to themselves as being random and saying lol all the time are ever so irritating, especially when they don't have any decent stories or articles u______u

I agree fully.
I am a writer trying to shape up my skills. (Fan fiction is one of my favorits to write.) But I HATE it when people will just make Mibba pages so they can network. Don't they know that that's what facebook is for?
