Personally, I think that the more attention you try to get the more pissed the kidnapper is going to get. If someone tried to kidnap me, I'd probably punch the person in the jaw and keep trying to beat them up until they were on the ground. Unless it's a younger looking guy. Then I'd give him a good swift kick in his private parts.
By the way, very interesting article.

Finally someone writes this. I'm already being paranoid from walking to the store from my house. >.<

I was almost kidnapped twice in one week :O
    1) A man told me to come to his white van, I just froze. He told me to check the break lights and I stood a good distance away. Then he just drove off. I'd say if I'd gone any closer something might have happened...:O
    2) About two days later, when I was walking down the street, a man grabbed my shoulder, spun me around, and held a coke bottle to my face. He didn't look drunk, he looked perfectly sober and serious. I just jerked away from him and walked quickly away. People had started staring so it was easy to get away from him, but it scared the crap out of me :O

Oops, there is a typo on the article. Although that's not important, it would be good if it is rectified c=

It's good to raise awareness, truly.
But... I know you didn't actually say this, but the urgency and wording make it sound like if you walk down the street, you're going to be jumped. Raises paranoia and whatnot, without need. I get the feeling of being watched... right before my best friend hugs me from behind. :/
Really, though, it is still good to be informed about the best ways to avoid such a fate, and I'm glad you're making them known! On the off chance anything like this happens, it's excellent to be able to make use of this knowledge.

    Tips:
    1) Take self-defense classes, with some techniques even a short, thin person could overtake a fully grown, tall, strong man.
    2) Never panic, keep your head clear and figure out a strategy to scape.
    3) Always carry a phone, or at least know the numbers of people you know, don't depend too much on your 'contact list' for numbers.
    4) When you enter a new place always look for all of the exits (emergency ones too) in case you need to run.

Well that's all very well and good, but pretty sure if you'd struggle, let alone made a scene, or tried to even hurt your abductor or get away from them, they'd hurt you so much more than they'd originally intended to.

    Just saying~
