I definitely agree with you-times have changed and I think it would be interesting to read some updated information on this kind of thing!

Yeah, I know, it just rubbed me the wrong way. It's nothing against you; you're reporting what's already out there. It's pretty interesting otherwise. I love this kind of stuff.

I do agree that the scoring bases need to be updated. Keep in mind the particular study this defiinition was taken from was done in 1977. There have been grand changes in fashion since then. The whole article is just a summary of several findings-many of which were done many years ago. This was just an assignment I did for class, and there are not many peer reviewed articles available on the topic that are from this generation.

The "Exhibitionism" score is clearly biased. It claims a female who does not wear skimpy bathing suits is timid and insecure, which is far from the truth. Some of us like to preserve our modesty. I do not wear highly revealing bathing suits or clothing and I have been told by many people, male and female, that I am a dominating, forceful person and far from "timid." I know it's only a study but that really irked me.

This type of research and the results are totally fascinating to me. It's interesting to think of the attributes a person could
have based on the clothing choices they make and physical appearance they have. I also like the contrast between males
and females, as well as mentioning brands which I didn't expect at all. I observe people, especially their facial / bone structure
and the correlation between their style of dress and there are so many combinations that the possibilities are endless.

However, there does seem to be a common thread that we don't realize because once we get past the exterior,
we tend to have it more in the background while those traits approach the foreground.
